This place is great value. Staff are very helpful and the rooms are a good size with basic needs (including a refrigerator and air cond). Good hot showers, clean soft bead and a great Brazilian breakfast in the morning. I believe it even has a pool, but I didn't use or see it. Shows as 2 or 3 stars on some sites but its a great value place (and certainly 3+) in an area where prices seem inflated for tourists. Short walk to a large supermarket (which also has a super cheap bistro attached- pay be weight). Brief walk to many restaurants and cafes (or about R$7 in an Uber). Would certainly stay there again
I stayed at this Hotel for 3 nights in early June. Plus: + Spacious and clean room with three beds (me being the only occupant) and good A/C + Big and clean bathroom with a great hot shower (towels, soap and toilet paper provided) + Friendly and helpful reception staff; even though both their English and my Spanish (no Portuguese) were limited they successfully answered all of my questions + Crazy breakfast buffet, including lots of fruit and 4-5 different sorts of cake every morning! (Plus breadrolls, cheese, ham, cereal, and all the usual breakfast stuff) + Convenient location -- the bus stop to the waterfalls and to Argentina is a 10-minute walk away, as well as a big Supermarket, whilst the bus stop to Paraguay is right at the front door of the hotel Minus: I liked this hotel very much, there were no major drawbacks. But if I have to name something, it's this: my room was rather dark because the window opens to a sort of ventilation shaft. But most tourists don't stay in Foz do Iguazu for the hotel views, anyway! I can't say anything about the swimming pool because I didn't try it.…
I pretty much summed everything up with the title, but i would like to write more about my experience staying at this hotel. To start with, it is located on one of the main roads in central and about 300 metres away from Avenida Das Cataratas where most buses pass. Also it is near the city central where you can walk around safely. There are some bars and restaurants on Avenida Das Cataratas. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of varieties from bread, fruits, cakes, cereals, etc with good opening hour (7 to 10). The hotel is quite old judging by the structure, but hey...do people only stay on new hotel? Come on? Unless you are rich then people who complained about this hotel they are nothing but complainers...that type of people who want to pay less but expect 7 stars treatment, including new facilities. What mattered to me the hotel was clean. Staffs were very helpful and kind. They explained everything clearly to the details. Luis was the first one i met on my arrival. The only thing that disappointed me a bit was the terrace. It has a huge terrace up top which is cool, but they really must put some ashtrays coz i saw so many cigarette butts on the floor. But it's quite a nice place. Overall is not a fancy hotel but it is very clean, affordable, great staff, well located, good breakfast. I couldn't expect more that what i paid for. And honestly i had a great experience staying at this hotel. Would definitely recommend this place!…
The hotel itself is quite nice, and very good value for $40 a double ensuite however the location lets it down. Good points: Helpful staff Good breakfast including freshly squeezed fruit juice Clean, big bedroom and bathroom Bad points; Next door to a building site. Couldn't tell what it was eventually going to be as it looked recently started so no way of telling when it'll end. Builders woke us up at 7.30 and theorise made the room pretty unrelaxing too stay in during the day. Location - on a busy road, about 15 mins walk to the town (and we're not slow walkers). Ok
The hotel is located on a wide avenue full of trees and near the exits to the main attractions of Foz do Iguaçu. The facilities are old, but cozy. Nothing too fancy, but everything clean and organized. The hotel staff is very polite and helpful and has good tips to give all the time. They have a good breakfast that is included in the price of the hotel. We went there by car and it was great. It is on the same avenue of the mall Cataratas, which has a food. Near the hotel you could find many places to eat in the eavening. The pool area is not so great, but we used anyway. For us this hotel is all about good location and great rooms to rest!
To be honest, this hotel has seen better days, however it was clean, tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool facilities were ok, but not great. However its scores with location. Its only a few minutes walk to downtown and great for local buses to Paraguay and the falls. If you are only spending 1 or 2 nights here then this might be a good cheap option.
This hotel was a gem. Based on the edge of town its on the right side - that lead to the airport and the falls. The bus to the Brazil side of the falls is a five minute walk away. The bus to Paraguay stops right outside. There is a supermarket a short walk away as well. The staff were very helpful - one directed me to his friend that gave me great deal into the Argentinian side of the falls and another staff memeber even used his PC to translate directions to Paraguay. The room I had was ensuite and massive. the only thing was the noise from a nearby night club and there was no real breakfast, other wise a great place to stay.
