My wife and I ran into some issues at the border when we tried to cross. Somehow the Argentine visa is much harder to get than we initially thought. So we were stuck on the Brazil side - after seeing the awesome Iguazu falls. We looked up some quick hotels in the area so we can camp out until the visa came through (which never did btw) and found this gem of a place. Literally a 10 minute walk from a pretty sizable indoor mall. Front desk staff were very accommodating- and helped us navigate our stressful scenario fantastically. Claudia and Jacir went well above the normal expectations And in our view are the gold standard of hotel staff. The whole place was elegant. The food delicious. The wait staff very attentive to our needs. I would recommend this place to anyone in the Iguazu area. They really made our last few days in Brazil enjoyable -even though it was an unexpected stop - we don’t regret a minute of it.…
Very great hotel and bar. Alfonso, bartender, was the best! We had a blast for our trip to Iguazu Falls! Large hotel with a large pool. Great food and great service. We will return again if we are in the area.
Very good experience ! We enjoyed the buffet and the service, people where very careful and helpful. Also the rooms are very clean. Well placed and tourism agency inside to help ! At the restaurant, you can count on Afonso ;)
Great service. Clean room and very nice staff. Wifi internet speed was very fast compared to the rest of the hotel I have stayed in the area. The food at the restaurant was delicious, our waiter Afonso was very kind.
Dinner was good and the waiters Junior, Ilam and Eli were really professional and served us really well. Hotel facilities are good. Spacious swimming pool and bar. Perfect place to relax after a day at Iguazu falls. Overall we had a really good experienced and recommend Carina hotel!
Once we arrived at the hotel we were impressed, big hotel with nice rooms and a beautiful swimming pool area. But this changed quickly. We had half pension and when we had dinner 2 of the staff at the restaurant told us that soft drinks were included. When we finished eating we received the bill and soft drinks were on the bill. We told them that 2 of the staff members had told us that these were included but they send us to the reception. We went to the reception and explained again but did DID NOT LISTEN TO US and kept on saying that it was nog included. So misscommunication from the staff at the restaurant which was their fault so they should have cancelled this from the bill without arguing with us/the clients. They said to return the next morning to discuss this with the general manager. That same evening i send them an email to explain that we dont agree with this and they should remove it from the bill but now we are already on our way home and NO REACTION at all. So in short, dont book there, they really dont know how to treat customers and most staff even don't speak a word english.…
Not sure what we had let ourselves in for when we first got to reception. There was no welcome and a very surly attitude from Thi****? Who literally threw the registration document that she wanted filled out at us. We’d booked a master room and it was fine and well appointed. We wanted to travel to both sides of the falls independently but the lady on th tour desk wasn’t that forthcoming. However apart from the initial experience the rest of the reception staff were very helpful. The hotel is a bit out in the sticks but taxis plentiful. Might be an idea to bring in water rather than buy at hotel prices. The hotel offers a reasonably priced evening buffet. If you intend travelling to the Argentinian side for the Falls or airport the hotel orders a taxi and the price is very reasonable. However it is probably very wise to leave plenty of time as we found the border crossing not only arduous but time consuming. On the day we went to the airport took 2 hours to get through border controls.…
