This hotel is really a total disappointment! Even calling it a "hotel" is exaggeration...Why it owns 2 or in some portals even 3*? Don't really know... 1* because it has doors??? The room was shabby, we even didn't want to place our handluggage somewhere. The interior was old and rotten. The air was smelling old. Windows couldn't be opened (as the reseption told "for security reasons" - no idea if thieves in the 14th floor enter by helicopter... The air condition I was afraid to switch on because of all the dust and dirt on it. No idea if it was ever used before.... The "stuff" at the reception were two bored guys - who seemed to be students or professional "chilling people" they were not motivated for anything, and did not speak ANY word of English (I experienced that English in Brazil is not widespread, but when anybody speaks English it is the hotel stuff... Sometimes good English, sometimes not that good but being friendly and trying to be helpful - these guys spoke no word at all and tried the google translator for communication. The question of getting another room was ignored - we stayed about 10 minutes (having booked for 3 nights), used the internet and found another hotel quite around the corner where we could get a room (the Continental Inn, 4*, not much more expensive but very much better!)! The money was spend in vain for this hotel but it was worth leaving immediately Even if some pics might look not that bad - do NOT book this bad hostel (even hostel look better than this etablissement!!!

Was not the best hotel room we ever stayed but was clean... bed was a bit hard, old decorated... old fashion tv with no remote and broken aerial. Breakfast was ok... bread was hard, nothing had a name so you have to guess what the food was... so for the price couldnt ask for a plasma tv and fluffy bed.but location was good, staff is friendly.

I have been there for 4 nights and I've found the service very good. The structure is quite old and probably needs some renovation, but everything works properly. If you don't care about the appearance it's the place for you. Consider that for the same price of an hostel you are still in a hotel, the room is cleaned and towels are changed every single day!!! PROs: Very close to the major clubs, pubs and nightlife places. Very close to the main bus stops for paraguay, and the falls (cataratas). Breakfast is included and varied. Dinner is very cheap ( 25R$ ), organized as a buffet in which you can eat as much as you can. I didn't have lunch so I have no information about it. Employees are kind and available for everything. Italians will enjoy the presence of a bidet in the bathroom :) CONs: Wifi is free only in the reception are and suffers a lot when many devices are connected. However you can pay 10R$ for three days and you get the connection in your room. Electric outlets are very old , you'd better bring with yourselves a power strip (3in1) and buy an adapter (6R$).

The rooms had carpets on the floor, around the walls and on the ceiling. They had very large water damage, large black spots and smelled awful (mold). The bathroom also showed signs of mold on the shower and around the floor. Right away we requested another room and get one with tiles on the floor but still had dirty carpet around the walls and on the ceiling. It was one of the worst experience I had. Also they would take the thin, overuse towels at about 11:OO AM and get "new" ones at 4:00PM; that is we were without towels most of the daytime. The company we traveled with from Argentina "Noche y Dia" knows about all this but they don't care.

Stayed here for three nights in Feb. This hotel isnt that good. Firstly the positives. Breakfast is ok, the room is habitable and free breakfast was included in the price. The hotel does seem to be on the tourist coach trail, as the nights we where there, there were coach trip loads of people staying there. Now for the negatives. The room itself was very outdated, and the bathroom was from a past gone age, all brown and orange. The hotel itself seems to be left in a timewarp, where the rest of the world has moved on. Receptionist staff were not very good, but rather functional. There werent going out of there way to be helpful. ie they didnt offer a map unless asked. The internet is not free, you have to pay for it (you can get interent access at a fraction of the price down the road). Breakfast was adequate, and the same everyday. The most disappointing part was the offer/prices for trips. I was quoted BRL190 pp for a trip to the Brazilian falls, and something similar to the Argentinian falls. When i inquired about a bus that may take us there instead, I was told there wasnt one. This is wrong. I managed to get a trip to the argentinian falls at a fraction of the price quoted and found out about the bus from a fellow traveller I met. This is quite diappointing from the hotel. It does seem to be overpricing everything, ie excursions, hotel room etc. If i had had more time, I would have perhaps stayed at a hostel (there seem to be quite a few around). Overall the hotel is habitable, but there will be other options. As notes above the hotel seems to be stuck in a bygone age and with some loving care, it could really be bought up to date and be really good. For those interested the bus can be caught just around the corner, ie on the same road as where most of the restaurants are, and its costs less than BRL3 for one way. The same bus can be caught for the aiport and the bird park/falls.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in anywhere. This includes all youth hostels and small cabins. The room.. wow. It is like from a horror movie, with a 70ties vibe. The bathroom is spooky with broken lightbulbs.. The closets were nailed closed. Breakfast was the worst i ate in Brazil. niusy zircon. Worst. Hotel. Ever.

Stayed at the Salvatti Iguazzu as part of an organised trip. Was a bit shocked when I read the reviews ("don't go here.. ever.. terrible... horror...in all languages), but the place was really not that bad. Definitely not good either, but the place was clean, the breakfast and location are OK and the staff was friendly. However, it's very dated, a lot of concrete, 70s style (not meant in a positive way ;-)). Soooooo before booking do some research about the hotels on offer at Igauzzu. I wouldn't book it again UNLESS it's very cheap compared to other hotels.
