The pousada is two mins walk from the bus station which we found very handy with big bags. The main historic centre is 10-15 mins walk away. We stayed in the main building; a nice large room with a small gabled annexe and single bed for our daughter which she loved. All very clean. Bring toiletries as only soap provided....

We stayed for 4 nights in the Annex during June and overall were please with the Pousada. The Staff were always very courteous and helpful, the decor in the main Pousada lovely, the breakfast more than ample and the pool, sauna and jacuzzi facilities made even more perfect by the poolside bar facility, ideal for sipping a perfectly made Caipirinha....

We stayed one night to try it up but ended up staying two more nights as we really liked Paraty. The hotel is located 500 meters from the ancient city centre, Paraty is really gorgeous and the hotel is neat, clean, there's free Wi-Fi in the rooms, breakfast is abundant and tasty. Rooms are clean, everything is OK, really. No...

As I was traveling alone, paying the full price (dbl room) in the main Pousada was too much. So I've opted on the annex. It was clean and served the purpose. Old town is 1 block away, so great location but you do have to walk back to the main building for breakfast + there is also no phone to...

Great Location, 5 min walking from the main restaurants and city historical centre! The Hotel rooms have a lot of character each room is named with a tropical fruit, mine was called Acai! very cute! ... breakfast was nice and diverse with lots of different juices and cakes, but the highlight of this all stay was having a nice jacuzzi...

our stay at Palmeira Imperial was just perfect. the staff at the reception, at breakfast and at the pool area was tremendously friendly and helpful. our room was bigger than expected, quiet and very clean, it had air conditioning and a fridge which was a blessing as the outside temperatures very extremely high. the tasty breakfast offered enough choices and...

This was a little oasis on our 3 week trip through Argentina and Brazil. We arrived here very late on night having spent several hours on a bus and encountering a mudslide, so it was a welcome sight to behold! Although the staff had no English and we no Portugese, you couldn't ignore the fact that they were all very...

The grounds are extraordinary well kept and have a real nice layout. The room we stayed in and the ones we did see, where at very good size, simple but very clean with big windows, but no balconys. Since it was very chilly when we stayed there, we did enjoy the jaccuzi and the sauna. The breakfast was really the...

My boyfriend and I loved our stay in this B&B (or pousada for the Brazilians alike!), and even decided extending our stay in Paraty as we were feeling homely! We stayed for four nights, just after Easter 2012. We booked it in a hurry as we were a bit disorganized doing it in advance but we could not be happier!...

I Have just stayed for carnival and it seemed to be a good option. It is not in the middle of the crowd and it is not far away from the old city. It has a wonderful fruity garden, filled with nice birds. The swimming pool and the sauna are an extra. The breakfast is tasty with local specialties as...

“In the reception, ask for rooms in the annex (if you want to stay closer to the historic town; if you prefer to use the hotel facilities, stay in the main building); make your reservation earlier on the internet to get the best prices. Rooms in the back for the annex are quieter”
