LOVE THIS HOSTEL!!! They looked after some packages posted from the Uk ahead of our visit and couldn't have been more friendly and helpful during our three night stay. A really nice, homely, relaxed atmosphere, a fantastically varied breakfast, very close to historic centre, washing service, nice wee pool for a refreshing dip & great value for money. Highly recommended....

We had a mix up with our buses so had to stay an extra night in Paraty. Backpacker House Hostel is just two minutes walk from the bus station, so a perfect location. We arrived at breakfast time but were still able to check in just fine. The hostel seemed to me one of the homiest I'd been to. The...

The hostel is located very near the bus terminal but we had trouble finding it when we arrived at night. The owner was very nice, told us a lot about the countries we were about to visit. Our double room with private bedroom was okay but very basic, and not super clean. The hostel is a 5min walk to the...

We walked a little from the bus terminal and saw a sign for this hostel. Stayed 1 night in a private room (double bed) and 1 night in a dorm and we were not disappointed! Pablo (the owner) is super nice and helped us our with all sorts of information, and the breakfast was truly amazing. It's a bit dusty...

We went there in August and I had the pleasure to share breakfast with the family that runs it. They were friendly, really willing to make us feel comfortable, and genuinely nice people. I haven't had this experience in a really long time, I wish I could have stayed longer. They served breakfast early in the morning and we couldn't...

Good location it was easy to walk to the picturesque streets of Parati from there and the price was quite low, but don't expect any luxury it's really basic. Tiny bathroom with poor shower but hot water still, old bedding and cleanliness is very basic also. More suitable for 20yo ish backpackers than older ones or family but for a...

Nice garden with many hammocks and a small pool. The breakfast is so big and it was one of the most delicious ones we had in brazil. The owner is also very nice and friendly. The location is near the bus station and around the corner there is a small and delicious pizza restaurant. Great place to hang out.

My boyfriend and I were recommended this hostel and were not disappointed. Our private room was clean, with a hot shower and comfortable bed. The breakfast was AMAZING.. fruit, different breads, salami, ham, cheese, more than you could possibly eat. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, giving helpful info on the area. Useful kitchen and relaxing communal area. Would...

My husband and I stayed here in January in a private room... what we didnt realise is that you only get air conditioning in the dorms! So disappointing, especially as you pay extra for double rooms. The place was also full of mosquitoes, and there was no net. We had to purchase some bug spray and coils to help fight...

HI, 1st, if you read well before book the room, you can see clearly that there is not aircon. The "extra" that you pay if for privacity (room and bathroom). Brazil is full of mosquitoes, but if you don't have a net in the room, at request we give you one (of course we have) About the laundry, we use...

This place was really chilled out and had a nice sociable family atmosphere. Paraty is so small you can go out if you want and there's usually someone to go with you with a similar idea, but if you don't want to there are really nice hammocks and seating outside and inside there's a TV and a big dining room...
