My wife and I enjoyed a very nice weekend a Les Roches. From the minute we arrived at the reception to the moment we checked out; the staff was kind, helpful and efficient. The property is set in a quiet valley, with a stream running through it; the landscaping is amazing, and I even noticed a little herb garden. We were among Toucans and other birds, monkeys and squirrels. Our chalet; furnished novo rustic, had a balcony with furniture and a hammock with a stunning view of the valley. We enjoyed a bottle of wine on it every evening. The chalet is spacious and clean with a comfy queen bed. Plenty of closet space and a large bathroom with plenty of hot water. The internet is excellent, cable TV; they have a small 3 par golf course, well maintained tennis court, wonderful pool and sauna, you can even borrow bicycles, but we settled for a long walk every morning on the country road. All 15 of the chalets were occupied, and it still felt like we were only there with a handful other folks; other guests are respectful of the peacefulness. Quiet and tranquil. We decided on a last minute dinner in the restaurant; and we were pleased by the quality of our meal. If there is one thing I would suggest; and it’s a very small thing, 4 lounge chairs at the pool is not enough for 15 occupied chalets. We will be back!…
Nice property and the staff is excellent always smiling and going an extra mile to ensure you are happy! Breakfast is excellent! Great variety Two notes: need more recliner chairs by the pool and as a suggestion screens at the cabin windows so you can leave it open at night and avoid insects etc
It'a a very nice and romantic posada in Itaipava's Cuiabá Valley. Very good rooms and common areas, excellent restaurant, impecable services. The owner is always present and willing to chat and to improve your experience.
Wonderfull place to relax and have an excellent food. Breakfast is a must. The owner is always at the place and this make the difference. Recommended for couples or families. You will not want to go to the town.
We were visiting an old college friend and his wife in Brazil. They suggested a couple days in the mountains at Les Roches. I was so impressed with all the hotel had to offer. The room was excellent and so well done. The dining experience was also very nice. The breakfast was included and my favorite meal. The dinners were romantic with great food and an ideal setting. We played tennis and went bike riding. My wife did a massage. All was really a great experience and I would highly recommend a visit.
Pousada Les Roches is set in a beautiful park in Itaipava's Cuiabá Valley. It's a very quite and romantic place. The location is very good close to many nice places to visit there. The rooms-chalet style are with cozy country furniture in the middle of a beautiful Green Golf course all with a balcony with green view. Someone with fireplace and Spa bath. Has swimming-pool tennis court and a little Spa service. The reception and the restaurant are very cozy and tastefully furnished. The restaurant from the breakfast to the dinner is very tasty and the quality of the products used is very high and selected. Mr. Americo, the owner, and all the Staff are amazing, professional and very polite. I want to thank them for my beautiful stay. I suggest at full marks without doubt!
My father got married at Pousada Les Roches about 2 weeks ago. The ceremony was in the golf court (beautiful green area) during sunset, and the party inside the hotel (until 3am!). Everything went perfect! Service, buffet, decoration, atmosphere! Our family stayed in the beautiful bungalows, and the bride and groom in the Diamante bungalow! The day after the wedding we had lunch in the pool area, it was a beautiful sunny day! I definitely recommend Pousada Les Roches for romantic and charming events!
There are not enough superlatives to describe our stay at Pousada Les Roches. The cabin (chalet) we stayed in was spotless and charming, the pousada grounds and setting in the Cuiaba Valley are beautiful, and the food in the restaurant was excellent. What sent our stay "over the top" (in a good way) was the service we received from Americo, the owner, and all of the staff. Everyone we encountered went well out of their way to make sure that everything was perfect for us, and it was! We spoke only very limited Portuguese, but generally this was not an issue at all as many staff speak English and those that didn't were very kind and patient with our attempts at speaking Portuguese. One thing to be aware of is that the location is fairly remote, and activities or dining off-premises definitely requires a car. That said, you can happily spend a weekend here and not ever leave the property.…
My husband and I headed to the “Pousada des Roches”in Itaipava, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, after a careful search for a perfect secluded and classy headaway. Sure enough, the hotel is located in a beautiful valley, where nature is dressed in an exhilarating fashion. Our room was nicely furnished and the toiletries, as actually announced in the hotel site, of well-picked quality. After a late lazy lunch, we napped and as we woke up to shower and get ready for dinner, we had the unplesant surprise of not having hot running water in our bathroom. To make matters worse, the phone was broken and the only way to reach the reception was to go there to place our complaint. Nevertheless, it all came to a nice end: the hotel staff was quick in relocating us in a different room, acting quite apologeticcally as required in such a situation. Minutes later, the hotel owner himself made a point of calling us to see what could be done in order to repair the inconveniencies that had been inflicted on us by hazard. He suggested that our rate for that day not to be charged and we thought that was fair enough. The stay was not exactly what we had in mind, but I am sure returning to a place that keeps such high standards of service and makes a point of addressing problems that may come up unexpectably.…
We had an excellent surprise with Pousada Les Roches. The service was outstanding, above any other Brazilian hotel I have stayed. The room was large, well decorated and well kept, the common areas were also well-decorated and clean. The restaurant had amazing food and service, no need to go to Petrópolis for haute cuisine. We highly recommend this Pousada and will definitely stay here again.
