Easy to arrive. Good rooms. Fair service. Plenty of space. Few rooms, easy to talk and relax. Forget the car's key, you will remember just when leaving the place. Few things to improve. Owner resident.
Have you ever dreamed of getting into your car with your wife/girlfriend/friend and disappear for a couple of days without going far away from Rio? The solution is only two hours away. The hotel only has six bungalows, so you'll never feel crowded. I chose the "Violet" bungalow, they all have names of colors. The Violet bungalow is the largest, with jacuzzi. All very clean and well kept. I only thought it was a bit dark, to the point it required lights on during day time. On the other hand, the shower has a glass roof, which was great. The owners, Ney and Alessandra are very friendly people and show a real concern to make sure everything is ok. But the man to talk to is Igor. He is concierge, waiter, bell boy, host and whatever else you require. The breakfast - included in the rate- is good, with many choices. Ask for the kitchen specials that are not displayed. We had both lunch and dinner on site and were very pleased with the food in general. The wine list is also good and the prices are very reasonable. The only funny thing is that they only keep one wine of each. No asking for a second bottle! They also have sauna and pool which we didn't use. As I said, you're in the middle of nowhere, so if you decide to have dinner or lunch outside, you'll have to drive around 2 miles for soso options and about 10 miles for good options. On a narrow and winding country road. Personally I think that is what makes it so special. Oh, and no cell phone! Although they have wi-fi in the main house but not in the rooms. Two days cost me R$ 1700,00 (US$ 400), with food and 3 bottles of wine included, which is not cheap at all, but it was worth it for my standards. …
The place is very peaceful and we really felt in a farm! The rooms are super clean and very cozy! Everything is in place and we can see that the owners care about everything as we do with our home. We traveled with our dog and probably the other guests were not bothered with her presence because the rooms are very private and there is outside places to eat (which I believe is more pleasant). I would like to thank Ney and Alexandra for their hospitality and Igor for his attention.
Great Surprise right after heavy traffic at the road and a long journey along the valley. Warm wellcome and great accomodations. The Spa is very relaxing in the main house at the top of the property. There is a private Sauna with a jacuzzi and an outdoor poll with breathtaking views. The service is fast and the fingerfood delicious (I recommend the german saussage and lemon caipivodka). The owners always arround ready to assist on every need you might have. If I have to recommend something is that the cells companies are down and internet reception barely works. Just forget about the world outside...
