Fatima's is a 4 bed apartment converted into a guesthouse. Fatima is lovely and very welcoming. The rooms and space are compact but clean and comfortable. I would recommend this guesthouse to those wanting to get a break from hostels and need to chill. Excellent location for Leblon and Ipanema. Only advise would be there are a friendly cat and... We came back through Rio for 2 nights and found this perfect guesthouse on hostelworld.com and we loved it! Fatima is so sweet and hospitable and we loved our room. Hot showers, properly functioning toilets, great breakfasts. Her pets aren`t in your room, nor do they bother you...they are both really sweet and it was actually great having a cute... More

As the other reviews say Fatima is lovely. The location of this B&B is safe and close to Leblon beach, restaurants and bars. However, this B&B is not worth its HIGH daily rates. The worst things about it are the pets roaming around the house, the toilets not flushing properly (!), and sharing a small house with the owner´s house... More

Stayed at Fatima's for 10 nights & were so happy with our choice!! Positives: EXCELLENT LOCATION!!! close to bars, restaurants (cheap or expensive), cafe's, supermarket, ATMs (cash machines), 5 min walk to beach. FANTASTIC ROOM, specifically: great natural light, solid shutters to block out morning sun, a private toilet in room with mini sink separated from rest of room by... More

This is not a hotel but a bed and breakfast - there's three rooms (shared bathroom) in a large apartment in London. Lovely host, nice breakfasts. The place is nicely decorated, with lots of interesting artifacts from round the world. The location is great - 5 mins walk from Leblon beach. In the surrounding streets are loads of good bars... Staying in Leblon

Neighbourhood Profile
In addition to being one of the most upscale neighbourhoods in the city, Leblon is charming, elegant and simple. This posh area has some of the most famous and expensive restaurants in Brazil, along with some of the city’s best nightlife (including some places open all night). One of the best places to visit is the beach, located under the impressive “Morro Dois Irmãos” (Two Brothers Hill). It’s a pleasant place to relax and admire the local beauty.

“Tips about Location: On Sunday, they close part of the street along the beach (for runners/bikes/skateboarders) and there is a "hippie fair" (outdoor market) in east Ipanema. You can walk to the hippie fair; it's 45min or so if you walk along the beach. Fatima's house is an easy walk to the Botanical Gardens and Lagoon walking path. There are numerous cafes, restaurants, bars, grocery stores in the area; just walk toward the beach on Venancio Flores and either go left or right on Dias Ferreira or Ataulfo de Paiva.”
