This is the most amazing place to stay that I would just travel to Rio just to go to Bossa Rio! The beautiful Mansion is gorgeously decorated that makes the common area a great hang out spot! But what makes this place the best is the incredible Staff! They give better customer service than any 5 star hotel which is...

I stayed in this Hostel together with my wife and children (20, 18 and 16 years). We realy loved Rio and got very good information from the people of Bossa in Rio. They were all very friendly, even when we forgot to leave our room at 12.00+. They really helped us out to catch the plane to our next destination....

We stayed several nights at Bossa in Rio and were very pleased. The rooms are clean, it has loads of amenities and the location is perfect (very close to Lapa). Besides, the owner is very helpful and kind. Totally would recommend!

I have not often experienced such a great service before on my travels in South America. I arrived to Rio very ill from dengue and I was hospitalised on my second day. The people working in the hostel really tried to help me in everything they could. They guarded my stuff and tried to help my family to get into...

We were unfortunate to vsit Rio during the Environmental Summit, fortunate in a way it had such a good vibe bad in a way that most hostels were fully booked. Wish I could say "This is the best hostel in Rio" but I cant as we have only stayed in another place for one night, but there is no doubt...

Had a lovely one-night stay in a private ensuite room that felt like a nice hotel--clean, comfortable, and spacious, with a great bathroom. Staff was extremely helpful and let us check into our room early. The location is great if you want to be out of the fray a bit. It's very close to Lapa and a slew of buses...

I stayed in Bossa for 3 nights and loved it. They are situated in a very nice district - away from noisy Copacabana crowd but close to artist-run shops and cafes and Lapa district. It's a clean and safe place- nicely renovated old mansion. The staff are fantastic-they helped me organise a samba class, were always really friendly and helped...

We had a couple of nights here at the beginning of our trip to Brazil. On arrival in the country the airport transfer was great and when we got to Bossa In Rio we were blown away with how beautiful the setting was. Not much could be better than that could it? Well yes it could! The staff were so...

Staying in Santa Teresa

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Teresa
Santa Teresa is a bohemian enclave hosting many local artists’ studios. The narrow, winding streets of this neighbourhood were revitalised years ago, and visitors can now stroll through this area to view magnificent mansions dating back to the late 19th and early 20th century. A highlight not miss: Museu Chacará do Céu, a former mansion turned museum which houses works by prominent Brazilian modern artists.
