If you have the opportunity, spend a couple of days in this mind-blowing house (separate rooms rented out) while visiting Rio. The host is super chill and helpful with suggestions. The premises feel more like a super rich friend's house than a hotel (technically it is a house that you rent a room in through Expedia). The view is spectacular,...

This place is awesome. The service is excellent and the views the best. They serve breakfast every morning and they have snacks and other edibles all day and night. There is plenty of space to roam around and feel at home. We stayed at one of their smaller rooms but found it quite large compared to regular hotel rooms. The...

This is the perfect accommodation in Rio if you are looking for a sanctuary away from all the tourist craziness but still close enough to enjoy all Rio has to offer. The rooms are spacious and all amenities needed are provided. Matteo is the most amazing accommodating host and the complete staff went above and beyond everything necessary. I loved...

From the minute we sat our foot inside we immediately felt at home and did not want to leave... We were greeted by Matteo and Donna the dog and were given the tour of the fantastic house. A true architecture masterpiece of wooden art! Everywhere you walked you found some hidden gems of art, music and relaxing rooms.. The view...

I shan't go into the location because it's clear from other reviews, save to say that it is idyllic. Okay, it's a 10-minute taxi ride from the beach; big deal, it's well worth it to be surrounded by a canopy of trees, birds (including toucan) and monkeys, with a view to Sao Conrado beach down below and the hang-gliding point...

First I got to say that we are not used to luxury places, we usually go to more "reasonable" hostels or bed and breakfast but we had the chance to spend 3 days around Christmas in this lovely guest house. The house: It's a gem, the view is staggering, the decoration is tasteful. We stayed in the "smallest" room but...

We stayed here last year when we visited Rio (apologies for the delay in posting). The guesthouse is located in a fabulous position with stunning all-round views. Sitting by the pool looking at the toucans in the trees was brilliant. Unfortunately, we had utterly dreadful weather so only had the views for one day of our 4 day visit and...

A friend and I stayed at Tuakaza November 23-25. It is a beautiful place to stay and is a true gem in Rio. Rocio and Maritza were very nice and friendly and made the most delicious breakfast that you ate on a balcony overlooking the TIjuca Forest. The hospitality room had great snacks, fruits, quiche, sandwiches, cheeses, drinks, etc. You don't...
