Only 300 meter of the copa cabana beach, close to Urca, a busstop in front of the hotel to many places in Rio, only the pool is to small, looks like a big bathtub. A safe neighborhood, just 3 blocks away form the metro

Do NOT stay here if you are in Rio for work, or need to use the internet for any other reason - it is extremely slow and often cuts out altogether. I found out that this is a long-standing problem which customers complain about every day, but the managere refuses to deal with. A pity, as otherwise it would be...

I stayed here for 6 nights and left today. The front desk staff is wonderful and very helpful. Especially the two girls. They helped with arranging tours and exchanging money. I had issues with the male staff who seemed very bothered by anything i asked. I went to pool one day and clean towels everywhere. Yesterday i went there were...

I booked this hotel on hotwire and got a great rate. The room was clean and very comfortable. The complementary breakfast was amazing. We enjoyed the pool on the roof. The hotel is just a short walk to the beach and is near a grocery store and several restaurants. Staff was very, professional and helpful. Impressive.

Stayed on NYE and had a pleasant stay. Staff were friendly and all basic amenities good and rooms were clean. Our room overlooked a busy main road and we thought a window was open (it was a gap between the air conditioning unit and the wall!) so it was noisy. Given it was NYE we were unable to change, but...

good hotel, convinient location. Almost everywhere you can go by buses, which stop near hotel. Rio Sul shopping center is very close to hotel, where you can walk on foot. Even it takes 20 min to get to Sugar Loaf on foot.

I was extremely pleased with my stay. It was not perfect by any means but any issue that occured was resolved. All employees have great customer service. The breakfast employees are the best. The pool is very small but cools you off on a hot day. The fitness room was nice and the hotel is a few blocks from the...

When reading previous reviews for this hotel, we were a little concerned, but found it to be very good, overall. It is in a great position for the beach - only a 5 minute walk- and supermarkets/shops. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. Breakfast ihas a limited range of food, but perfectly acceptable. Scrambled egg (one of the...

The desk attendants were very rude. They were not accommodating at all, all except one and I wish I remembered his name. I think it was Marcel or something along those lines. He was great. We had to switch rooms twice because there was a stench in one and the other had a shower that didn't drain. I'd never stay...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
