There are many extremely overpriced hotels in Rio with poor value, especially the closer they get to one of the beaches... but this one seems to be an exception - if you get your room rate right, it is actually an excellent value... it is hard to beat this deal even if you spend hours and hours searching various booking... The Atlantico Copacabana advertises itself as a four star hotel, but it's a three star property by North American standards at best. I stayed in room 1202 near the top of the Atlantico for nearly three weeks during the Rio 2016 Olympics. Large room and bathroom, clean, but dated. The bed was comfortable, but the old school air conditioner was... More

I really like this hotel. I've been to Rio two times and stayed here on both trips. The location could not be better. It is located in Apoador which is exactly in the middle of both Copacabana and Ipanema beaches (take your pick. You go in one direction and in less than 5 minutes you're right at Ipanema beach. Go... I spent one night in this hotel. Location is very good, it have its own parking for 45R/night but those stars are not correct. You do not suspect anything at the reception, untill you notice world clock on the wall - clock for Tokyo is missing, there is just empty hole named Tokyo. Price was very good. One night, two... First of all, I vote for the perfect location of this hotel - near Copacabana, next to the metro station, a lot of shops, fast foods and cafeterias around. Personell was friendly and helpful, special thanks to Polyanna!! Room and facilities were ok. Breakfast could be better (( I guess, it is designed for the tastes of South America habitants,... More

About 30 minutes taxi ride from the Airport gets you to this hotel which boasts of being a Four star Hotel. No problem in locating the hotel. Being quite close to the famed Copa Cabana beach, scores high marks on location. In the close vicinity there were p-lenty of eateries , bars & other shops of daily needs, with taxis available... We stayed for eight day over Carnaval 2016. The staff was friendly and the location we good. It was quiet at night. The price was pay too high for the hotel, but I understand every hotel raises their prices during Carnaval. The "pool" on top is more like a hot tub. The rooms on the higher floors (9 and 10)... Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
