Probably the worst hotel I have ever been. I went for business purposes and stayed there more than 2 weeks. The hotel is old, the rooms are dirty, the air conditioners are old and noisy. You need to pay the safe and wifi apart, so prepare more 20 reais per day if you are interested in these services. The pool...

Roooms just ok, but maintenance non existent: cupboards doors falling or stuck, noisy airvconditioning, corridors pooly lit, WIFi coming and going all the time, administration slow and messy in handling the reservation and in producing the bills and receipts. Very few of the staff can manage decent English, On the reladively bright side: staff kind civilised and helpful (as long...

The hotel is nothing outstanding. Building look okay from he outside and the lobby looks nice but that all about it. I stay in this place a lot because of the location and the price. Most of the time I am not in the hotel so it does not matter to me. Facts: AC very noisy , if it works,...

At the first look the hotel is okay the area is fine but the surprise is when you really need to use the installations. The AC was completely broke, dusty and improvised with tape and working as a super cold or no AC. The worst this is the conservation of the mattress and pillows. Yellow, old and smelly. The mattress...

The biggest plus of this hotel's the roof top swimming pool. The not so good things were the internet connection, the noisy ac machine and the wc toilet. The hotel stuff people from the reception, and the bags people and the female manager were ok but sometimes problems don't get resolve. Just keep this in mind if you need internet...

Possible the worst hotel I have stayed in staff friendly and helpful but you get the impression that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. No bar facilities available but the front desk were not aware? Room serve was a 50 minute wait

Stayed here for around a week at the end of December . Having read some of the reviews on TripAdvisor, I was apprehensive about staying here but my travel agent had booked and paid for the accommodation so didn't have a choice. I will say, it is not as bad as I thought. Our room was clean and spacious. (I...

To summarise, this is the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. If you have an alternative I would strongly consider it. 1 / the air conditioning did not work, and there was a huge hole above it in the wall, so even if the unit started it would not do a very good job 2 / the windows were...

The service is not too bad, the hotel is mediocre, location okay. The problem is the hotel management. Ridiculously rude, arrogant and stupid. I could write a thousand words trying to describe the whole story during my stay there, but I can summarize everything in one sentence: they basically STOLE from me, by taking the chance to overcharge a service...

Nice hotel in nice location, in the heart of the Copacabana neighborhood and just a few minutes walk from parks, the beach, pubs, nightclubs, supermarkets and so on. Swimming pool with nice views of the area, CLEAN and confortable. (a bit old fashion... but ok) Good Breakfast, nice fruits and yogurt! you should try as is reasonable price/quality.

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
