A convenient and quiet location which is very close to Copacabana beach. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff are friendly, helpful and fluent in English. The breakfast was very rich and variable every morning with a wide variety of exotic fruits. Refills were fast.

We were given a tiny room with noisy a/c during our 4 day stay at the hotel. The room was extremely dark during the day and the room lighting was inadequate. There was no way to lock the door from inside and at 6am one morning we were shocked when someone entered our room! The staff were totally unconcerned and...

I was a little unsure about our reservation after reading several bad reviews but was pleasantly surprised and found the hotel to be a bargain for the price. It is well situated in Copacabana with very comfortable, spacious and clean rooms and modern bathrooms. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide range of fresh, tropical fruits. The roof deck...

Very helpful staff. Food good. Well situated. Location close to Copacabana Beach. After our stay we flew to see Foz do Iguacu Falls (unmissable) before flying back to Rio for another 2 days. We had no hesitation in picking this hotel for our extra 2 nights. What higher recommendation can be given?

I visited many countries and hotels but such an awful hotel and such a rude and impolite staff - never met. The hotel is located few blocks from the beach but the near vicinity not so pleasant, especially at night. I got the room nr 317, very small - no place for one suitcase, with a very noisy air-condition and...

This hotel is very average. Pros - Close to beach Lots of eating options nearby Close to train station Onsite restaurant and bar, with free breakfast Affordable Cons - Wifi is highly unreliable and you will have to use one of the 3 computers on site IF the internet is even working. I usually don't care about wifi because I...

I am not one to complain but we're to start the electric went out in all of the building in the night but this meant that the a/c was not on then went down stairs to find a truck across the front of the building with a generator on the back of it pumping out lots of black smoke to...

Owing to the massive demand for hotels over New Year, this hotel takes advantage of this and provides a lackluster service. The wifi didn't work most of the stay (with zero apology). Enormous cockroaches throughout the room, little English spoken by bar and waiter staff which made ordering food and drink near impossible, no such thing as an ironing board...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
