We forgot one of our bagagges in our hotel room. Even though we sent an e-mail the next day, it disappeared. The responsible people came up with several excuses which appearently were a tissue of lies. Probably someone from the housekeeping service stole it. Very disappointing experience, i will never again set a foot into that hotel.

Good 3* hotel on very good position, just 3 minutes wal from Copacabana. Nice lobby with small reception. Rooms are basic, but you have everything what you need, very good maintanance. You can have rooms faced to main street (you can hear the street) or to courtyyard where you can hear aircon, but ist still ok. You are very good...

It is a basic hotel but the location is great as it is one block back from Copacabana beach. Breakfast is very good and plentiful and even had a toaster as most hotels in Brazil seem only to offer a toaster machine. Manager / owner wanders around straightening everything at breakfast! Very amusing to watch. Staff were really helpful and...

The hotel is very average, but is reasonable priced. The reception clercks and porter act a bit stiff and formal. The breakfast is one of the perks. Hotel Canada has a good location for shopping, beach and restaurants

Hotel Canada is the 2nd block, it takes about 7 minutes walking to the famous beach Copacabana. It's situated in the area with many shops and cafeterias. But nobody speaks English in cafeterias, there isn't an English version of menu cards! There are some gift and food stores there. If you don't want to pay for food in restaurants you...

Very good location , the beach is 5 min. walk , shops all around, breakfast is OK, and wifi was good too. Very close to an Aipo Aipim por kilo restaurant where you can eat the best for cheap. I believe 100 euros/night is expensive for this hotel, the location to be paid??

I think it is a very great hotel, the staff is amazing, very helpful and polite. The room was really big, clean and the bathroom as well. The breakfast is wonderful!!! The location is the best, only 2 squares of the beach, and at the same street you can find anything you want. Gym, drugstore, supermarket, restaurant etc...

I stayed at this hotel with a group of friends during the World Cup. The price was amazing given the location of the hotel (two blocks from Copacabana beach) and the facilities, very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was outstanding, there were lots of options for everyone so we didn't get bored of the bf after a week of stay....

If The review was only about the quality of the rooms, staff, and breakfast, I would have gave the hotel 5 badges. The rooms are wide, well equipped with closets, TV, air condition, nice comfortable beds, and a wide bathroom/shower. The location is also perfect, being 1 block away from the Copacabana beach, and 2 blocks from Sequera Campos metro...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
