We stayed 4 nights in a private room with shared bathroom. The hostel was very secure (as we originally had trouble find it) and the staff very friendly. Hostel included free breakfast and wifi. There are kitchen facilities and a rooftop terrace. The hostel is very perfectly located between Ipanema and Copacabana beach. It's only a few 100m to the...

I was very lucky to find a room at the Ipanema b&b during World Cup season. As a matter of fact, I was traveling alone to Brasil and while most people would go for a hostel, I'm so glad I did not. Truth is for just a little more money, I got so much more! I stayed with Brazilian locals,...

I recently stayed here and to be honest it is not worth the money. The breakfast was poor, the place was dirty, the bedroom was full of old bedding and an old TV set and the bathroom was very very small. This is my first experience of Rio and it was not a good one. We had to leave early...

Unfortunately, I had to cancel my trip to Rio. The airline I booked my flight with was gracious enough to refund at least 85% of my total cost. This was not the case with Felipe, the owner of Ipanema B&B. After receiving my email informing him that I had to cancel my trip, he emailed me back stating that he...

The location is unbeatable....2 blocks from Ipanema Beach and the b&b is one block away from all the best restaurants and shopping in the city. You'll definitely feel safe here. We paid about $90 USD a night. Hotels in Ipanema are known to be expensive, so this was a good bargain for the location. Breakfast was standard - cheese, ham,...

we stayed 5 nights. the location is great and the price and the breakfast is ok. the owners speak english but don't really care about the customers. the only thing that really annoyed us was that the promised driver didn't show up twice so we had to take a taxi from the street at 6 am.

I spent 5 days in August, and was very happy to be here because I was so close to the beach, to the lagoon, and to restaurants and the nice neighborhood of Leblon. I came here alone, so it was nice to have the host's help when I had a question about where to go or what to do. Breakfast...

The B and B is in a fantastic location with all the restaurants, bars and the beach right on your doorstep. The guys who run the place are very nice but pretty disinterested. The flat itself is lovely but poorly cleaned. We had to ask for a new towel as it was dirty as was the floor mat which clearly...
