I stayed here for two nights, booked a bed in a 6person dorm. It took the cab quite some time to find the place as there was no sign outside. The staffs were helpful. I arrived very early in the morning and could not check-in until noon but I was brought to rest in the living room. The staff said...

I stayed at the Mango Tree as a single traveller. Prices for accommodation can be steep especially for a single traveller, especially in the Ipanema area. After looking around I found the Mango Tree offering nice rates, good location and receiving good feedback. I can fully justify this positive feedback. It's an excellent place, with a very nice vibe. I...

Rio is expensive for travellers and we did quite a lot of research before our trip to find a good place. We paid £50/night for a double room here, which back at home we thought seemed expensive, but the room was really nice and we were really happy with our choice. The location is amazing, the staff were really really...

We stayed in this hostel in a double room for 5 nights while exploring Rio. The location was second to none and felt really safe. Our double room and bed were quite small compared to some other hostels and the walk outside downstairs to the bathroom was less convenient than some. However, the spirit and vibe of this place makes...

Stayed for 2 nights but wished we had stayed longer in Rio. The hostel is in a great location, one block back from the beach and close to some lovely restaurants and fun bars. The rooms (we had a private double) was clean and comfy. We did have a problem with a lot of mosquitoes but I don't think that's...

We stayed here for four days and loved the vibe the staff and the location. Althogh it might not be the biggest party hostel in Rio it is awesome for anyone who has come to Rio for more than a hangover. The breakfast was good and the staff more than helpful. I would 100% stay in Ipanema over Copacobana. It's...

We (group of 5 people) stayed here for 3 nights. Only one person speaks a little bit of English here, a young late 20s female (I forget her name). The rooms are very tiny.. they can fit up to 6 people, all bunked. More than half the bathrooms are located outside, and they are DIRTY! Rolled up sanitary napkins, unraveled...

The Mango Tree offers both private rooms and dormitory accommodation, and on this occasion 5 beds were booked in a 6 person mixed dormitory, and the guests both consented and confirmed this by email. It is commonly accepted that dormitories in hostels are comprised of bunk beds. Our bathrooms are cleaned several times daily ( all indoors, no open sky...

This place is in perfect location, well organized with a very helpful staff. It is a couple of blocks from Ipanema beach. This place tends to attract travelers in their 30’s. I met many interesting people there. This is a popular place and I recommend making reservation. You will want to stay in the back rooms facing courtyard. They are...
