The crowne plaza used to be a great and luxurious hotel to stay in são Paulo. The entire building is now used by a federal govmt agency located next to the newly refurbished building of Bank of China and across the street from the consulates of France, Italy and Argentina

Tired hotel in Sao Paulo - although near business district not good for business. Furniture and bathrooms worn and dated, cleaniness sometimes an issue. Internet overpriced - as were all room amenities - at rates one expects from prestige hotels. TV breaks down and service is not restored...mmmm If you don't get breakfast included in your rate you will also...

I've stayed there for one night only. Lobby seemed ok, but my problems started at the check-in, I faced a 20 minutes queue to get some attention. My room was really poor. Not very clean, worn-out carpet and furniture. I'll never go back. There are a lot of clean, fine hotels in the same São Paulo area for 2/3 of...

I agree with another traveller. Basically very good, roomy, quiet, clean and helpful staff. At least in the Gym there is a treadmill ( one broken ), but the pool is very small and although there is a sauna there are no changing rooms or lockers. Internet is a real cheat: 6 hours whether you want it or not ,...

I stayed in Crowne Plaza from 21/04 to 25/04. The hotel gave me an early check-in and I went to my standard double room. The room is nice, not too big but with a nice space. The TV is good, flat screen, about 21", and has some games you can play on it (the joystick is in the backside of...

The hotel is located near the center of the Sao Paulo. The rooms are very nice, customer service is excellent. However, the hotel does have some quirks, if one may say so. The internet is available by purchasing internet card that for a certain amount of time. The catch is that if you get disconnected or need to take a...

My family and I just returned from eight days in Sao Paulo and Rio. Our first four days were spent in Sao Paulo. We arrived very late (about 1:30 AM local time) and our reserved suite was not available, so my wife and I had to share a standard room with our two small children, not a disaster because of...

I've stayed here a few times in the past 2-3 years and have always walked away from my visit with a satisfied feeling. Please note that I have also stayed at more expensive hotels in Sao Paulo and know the differences you pay for at these hotels. That said, for the price, you can generally find rooms for less than...

Only stayed one night in this hotel. Saturday night. I can not remember anything special about this hotel, which might be seen as positive I guess. The only negative was that I arrived at noon at the hotel from long red-eye from the US and was looking forward to a nice shower and a horizontal bed. Instead they bluntly told...

Staying in Consolacao

Neighbourhood Profile
Consolação lies between the old historical centre of the city and busy Paulista Avenue. It’s surrounded by the fancy Higienópolis neighbourhood, which makes it a very diverse place. The nightlife along Augusta Street offers visitors a variety of options to dine, dance and be entertained. Roosevelt Square, Consolação's main meeting point, is surrounded by fringe theaters and has become a popular skateboarding area. Right across the street from the square is the elevated highway known as “Minhocão.” Though it is busy with car traffic all week, it shuts down every weekend and becomes a leisure spot right in the middle of the city.
