We stayed at the Star Hotel for a few nights before the building work early morning noise became insufferable, the lovely guy on reception was so apologetic and extremely helpful with moving us and all our stuff to the Asia Hotel across the road, which is owned by the same people, so the price was the same. In no way...

We arrived late in the evening and straight away the reception staff helped carry our bags to our room. The room itself (double en suite) was a good size with a hot shower. we planned to only stay a couple of nights but ended up staying a total of 6 as the hotel is in a great location (5 mins...

Location is good and staff are very helpful. The building is pretty and the rooms are a good size - however - do not stay here if you like quiet or a lay in! The halls echo so you can hear everything from all around the hotel and inside from inside other peoples rooms! There is building work going on...

We stayed 1 night- rooms were huge and had all we needed. Staff could not speak English very well which was a little frustrating, but were very helpful and friendly. Location close to town and we walked everywhere.

Stepping out of the heat of Battambang into the Star hotel is like stepping back in time. Greeted warmly by reception staff, we were amazed by the mirrored ceilings, chandeliers & polished wooden furniture. Up the sweeping staircase to our spotless room with carved wooden bedheads, newly renovated bathroom & a view of old colonial buildings opposite, what's not to...

This is a lovely cheap and clean hotel with spectacular furniture (carved wood furnishings). The staff are friendly and couldn't do enough for you would highly recommend this place. Breakfast was included but needed to go across the road to the sister hotel however the food was delicious.

Stayed here one night as part of Intrepid tour. Clean and large room - room 307. An old style hotel but just right for the one night. Not much to do around the hotel but only a short walk or tuk tuk ride into the main part of the city.

Stayed here for one night (would've stayed more if we had more time), it was a great hotel! Clean, large rooms, comfortable beds and good air con. The staff were wonderful! Helping us book activities and spoke perfect English. We had a very early breakfast which was delicious and lots to choose from. When we arrived off the bus the...

Stayed here for one night and found the place clean and comfortable. It's an old hotel and the lobby reflects the French history in Battambang with beautiful darks woods and marble staircase. Easy walking distance to the lively market and river front. No restaurant, but you can put a breakfast order in the night before and a place a few...

Overall the room was big and comfortable, bathroom was outdated and requiring attention. A little noise from building works elsewhere, but only on off during the day. The staff where very accommodating and helpful with our sight seeing itinerary. Breakfast was ho hum and you had to walk a little down the road to a neighbouring hotel, and as you...
