We are a four member family and we were very well attended at the Sanctuary in Battambang. The staff was very friendly. it's a quiet and a nice place. The bungalow for four people was confortable, with a shower and a big bath. The restaurant was ok (you should taste the fish amok, in 15 days in Cambodia, this is...

The Sanctuary is a beautiful cozy hotel. The room was very nicely decorated, clean and well maintained. The restaurant has a big selection of local and western food, all of which was excellent. The staff was also friendly and helpful. We arranged our transportation through the hotel from Siem Riep and then again to Sihanouk both of which worked on...

The hotel has beautiful rooms with a secluded terrace and an open air bathtub. The place is a garden oasis. We particularly enjoyed the large swimming pool. The service at our arrival was very nice and professional. It was quite the opposite upon departure. They either forgot to call us the Tuktuk or it did not materialise, in any event, it...

The Sanctuary Villa is slightly off the beaten teack and we thought we'd get a real rest after our hectic lives in Phnom Penh. Well, it was ok, the place slightly run down but very clean and the staff super. BUT avoid the "wedding" season in Cambodia ( anytime during the dry season) because you get woken up at 5.30am...

We stayed at this place as our previous hotel in Battambang could not extend our stay. I loved this place; found it very peaceful, with beautiful and well-cared gardens. Compared to the other place (see my review), the price was really good and far better, considering the level of comfort they offered. I agree with other reviews that there are...

The owner and the manager of the Sanctuary have treated us like family every time we come to Battambang, which is usually twice a year. Courteous, polite, wanting to help, and earnest are their trademarks. Sometimes trainees do show their inexperience, but always in the most gentle manner. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Battambang.

This is a small querky property, which probably merits the description "boutique". It is not luxury to western standards, but it tries hard. The service was well meaning but amateurish. However, it seems the place is run in part as a charity project to train local kids in the hospitality trade. Wonderful. It'd be crass not to forgive some mistakes...

Having read the other Tripadvisor reviews, I wonder what has happened to the Sanctuary Villa because we certainly did not have the service or impressions that other travellers had! The only thing we could agree about is that the staff were very friendly, albeit all trainees except for the one 'manager'. We felt like we were staying in a Cambodian...

The Sanctuary Villas are located on the edge of the colonial town of Battambang. There are only about 8 rooms so it is an intimate resort with a lovely pool and a nice little restaurant. I didn't have a chance to swim in the pool but there was an inviting looking gazebo and a couple of sun lounges too. The...

Great hotel with a number of spacious, luxurious bungalows set in a beautiful garden, 5 minutes walk from the central market in quiet area. Beutiful rooms, nice pool and restaurant (very quiet in the evenings, so for meals we went into town).
