Upon arrival, three extremely happy and sweet dogs welcome you. We were spoiled by the owner: hot tub under the stars, with Pisco Sour! Welcome in Chile, he said. Great! The hostaria was unfortunately close during our stay. The owner arranged for us a dinner in the woods in a "secret" little restaurant. 3 guests and a cook. Best dinner...

My family and I stayed in two rooms in the newly-constructed hotel at the Hosteria (they have fully-equipped cabins, but we chose not to cook). From start to finish our stay was incredible. The rooms were immaculate and so were the three pools and the common areas. We ate a copious amount at the restaurant each morning as breakfast was...

We stayed here for one night, part of a two week birdwatching tour where the organizer arranged all accommodation, so every check-in was a surprise. This place, the second night of our tour, certainly set the bar very high! Very friendly staff, lovely clean, well-appointed rooms, great food and beautiful surroundings. And it's very close to Altos de Lircay National...

Together with two other like-minded Natural Historians I spent the best part of two weeks based at this wonderful Hosteria. The owner Pedro and his delightful family welcomed us with warmth and inclusiveness. Nothing was too much trouble and it would be more than accurate to say the food and lodging was exceptional. I would unreservedly recommend the Hosteria to...

We spent three nights here in early April 2016. We had a lovely cabin. Pedro was a fantastic host and prepared amazing meals. We were the only guests two of three nights so this was pretty wonderful to have meals prepared just for us. Good wine too.

My wife and I spent several days in a cabin at Hosteria de Vilches in Nov 2015. It was a fantastic experience and one that I would recommend to others. Pedro was a wonderful host and chef. His meals are not to be missed! We greatly enjoyed his cooking and helpfulness. Pedro's English is good but he also organized for...

Thoroughly recommended. My partner and I saw this in Lonely Planet and had read the high reviews so when we wanted to visit the National Park, this was the obvious choice. A little more expensive than our budget but it was completely worth it. We came in the off season, we were the only people in the resort and the...

Everything was perfect. We were awaited the second we stepped out of the bus. The bungalow was big and comfortable. Dinner was nice, the wine was good. Breakfast was great as well and the hosts were very friendly and eger to know what were about to do the next days. Pedro braught us to park the next morning, so we...

My husband and I stayed here for 3 days just before Christmas 2013. We couldn't have been happier that we chose Hosteria de Vilches, from the moment the excellent Claudio greeted us to the moment we were waved away on our departure day by Claudio along with the owners, Bernadetta and Pedro. The cabana itself was clean and well furnished,...

Hi Bonnie & Jules!! For us it is gratifying to know about you, but more than that was to have had the opportunity to look after you when you stayed in our Hosteria. We have a nice impression about you and we would like to receive your visit again in the future. Warm regards, Bernardita and Pedro

I would definitely recommend this beautiful place for anyone who is looking for peace and quiet in the Andes mountains. It is situated in Vilches Alto and offers cabins for two people on a romatic getaway or large cabins for family and friends. Each cabin is tastefully decorated in beautiful rustic decor and blends in with the peaceful atmosphere. There...

“If you're bussing in buy food and matches in Talca. There are small shops nearby with limited basics but if you forget the chef Claudio and his kitchen team produce superb evening meals.”
