Recently travelled to stay for 4 nights as part of a bigger trip to Chile and Argentina. Room was small, no windows and overpriced at $187 per night. Very disappointed at being told that I must pay for all nights despite leaving after 1 night due to illness. No negotiation at all.

We stayed here on the third leg of our Chilean trip. Hotel staff were excellent, personal and professional. The room with river rock wall was charming, didn't need the second bed, would have preferred a chair sofa. The sliding wooden door to courtyard was very hard to open (just as well as the lock was broken!). Overall a great stay,... More

I went to terrantai with a group and we were taken care of, in every detail. impossibble to imagine all the details that were preparing by David. The hotel is charming and the Atacama desert one of the places one should go, at least once in a life time. But I surely wat to return.

We only stayed in the this hotel for one night after a trip through the Bolivia desert, as we were heading onto Santiago. At the time I was sick and I was just so happy to find a place as cool, beautiful and comfortable as this to relax in. Our room was gorgeously decorated, the shower was good, the internet... More

I found the "Terrantai" through the Lonely Planet Guide Book. After a minus-5-star hotel in the Bolivian desert I was more than pleased to find a comfortable, impeccably clean and well-heated room with a shower (and hot water!). The layout of the hotel, the color sheming (light colors) and natural materials make it elegant in an understatement manner. I found... More

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very unique and quite comfortable. They offer free coffee, tea and water for your stay which is definitely a plus in the desert!

Although we only stayed in San Pedro de Atacama for one night, I'm glad we stayed at Terrantai. The staff was friendly, the rooms nice and quiet, beds comfortable and bathrooms nice. We were only there for about 12 hours, but I found it to be very pleasant. Breakfast wasn't anything special, but they had coffee and cereal which was... More

The hotel is very centrally located in San Pedro and makes it easy to walk around. They have a separated private parking. Reception, communal area and swimming pool are cosy, intimate and very local style oriented. Even though the hotel is central, it is very quiet. The room was nice and had access to a separate patio. It would have... More

I really enjoyed staying in the Terrantai hotel. One would not expect this level of service in such a small place in the desert. The hotel is constructed with all natural material (rocks and wood) which gives it a very good genuine look. In the evening they make a nice fire which creates a nice atmosphere. Returning to the hotel... More

We had an outstanding stay at Terrantai Lodge. Accomodations were lovely, clean, spacious. What was exceptional, however, was the staff. They were friendly and accomodating. Our last morning called for a very early departure, well before the restaurant opened. They had prepared breakfasts for us the previous night, so that we could have a bite before we left. I would...
