We stayed here with our children and my mother-in-law. We had booked a family-friendly hotel with adjacent rooms, pool, but via a chinese travel agent.... our 2 rooms were floors apart. both had been smoked in, were through and through filthy, and facing the back of the hotel, a court with trash, laundry and noisy aircon outlets. I would not... More

Hotel located at the entrance to the shockingly bad touristy west street, it feels like the entire Chinese population is right outside of your hotel room, very noisy. The views from the hotel room would be nice if it's not right next to McDonald and KFC! The room is run down and stuffy even with the air conditioning on! The... More

The rooms have fantastic views of the mountains and overlook West Street and its many restaurants--but don't expect to sleep until after midnight as the restaurants are really noisy until then. The air conditioning barely cooled the room; again glad it wasn't summer. The king bed was classic Chinese style--rock hard. We slept on top of the blanket and were... More

Accommodation options are limited in this town so while this hotel is a little dated in its decor, it is one of the best available in a central location (better accommodation is available well out of town). Ask for a room facing West St and you may get a room with a private balcony looking out over West St (the... More

We looked at a couple of places before we ended up at this hotel and the view from the room won us over, overlooking the township of Yangshuo! The location was pretty good, central enough to walk anywhere but not right in the noisy touristy action downtown. The rooms were nice as chinese standards go, beds hard as usual, but nothing an... I stayed at the Regency Hotel three years ago and can't complain about anything. It is very central, the staff were helpful, the breakfast good, It was noisy at night but what does one expect when on a main thoroughfare? The beds were hard. I always love Chinese beds. They are very very comfortable and good for your back. A... More

Good position but staff insisted on a deposit over the cost of 3 nights. Room was hot as airconditioner was switched off at some stage during the night. No fridge in room, toilet cistern was temperamental, and pillows were flat. Chinese language TV stations only in a tourist area! Rooms were kept quite clean, but really need renovation. Has the... My wife and I spent a week here while exploring the Yanshuo region. It is a budget hotel but with an excellent position overlooking the lake at the end of West street which is the main tourist area. Our bedroom window had a fabulous view of the roof tops stretching over the park to the "pepper pot" hills/mountains surrounding this... More

Standard twin room was clean but with very hard beds and one wafer thin pillow per bed. No refrigerator and TV with Chinese channels only, Aircon appeared to go off at night (after 2 am). The hotel is on a T-junction and the car and bus horns are guarenteed to allow you only about 5 hours sleep a night, Hotel... More
