The nightly rate was extremely costly considering the hotel smelt of mold throughout and the rooms were not equipped with refrigerators or microwaves therefore, you had to purchase the food at the Doubletree which was also very costly.

I was kept for waiting to check in for 3 hours, 1 hour was due to my early arrival, the other 2 was their inability to host people in proper manner. I am a light sleeper, and the noise came from the street drove me crazy. Not mention the AC, its sound woke me again and again in the night....

Haichen, thank you for taking the time to offer comments on the property. We value all feedback. I'm sorry to hear about your HVAC unit waking you during the night. I had the engineering team look at that when we first became aware of it via the Hilton survey you completed. Being a downtown property, so close to multiple hospitals,...

Honestly, the room wasn't that nice. Bathroom wasn't anything special, and some of the wall paper was coming off in my room. With the name Hilton, I was surprised by the lack of quality. The staff was friendly, but the rooms ruined it.

I have stayed and planned numerous events at this property in Birmingham, Al. I have dealt with the same staff for 20 years. They are wonderful to work with. The hotel is close to educational and health care facilities. It has always been an exception value for its location. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that I know. It...

If you get the lower rate from University of Alabama Birmingham this hotel is definitely worth it. If you pay full price I would say that it is a bit dated and not a $300 room. However the rooms are clean and comfortable. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you have business at the university. it is very convenient.

Adequate but not excellent. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice strong shower. Parking is in a safe covered deck - $10 per night with in and out privileges. Breakfast not included. I was hoping for a hot tub but none here. They do have an outdoor pool. The hotel is very convenient to UAB and...

While the rooms are decent and the check in staff are very nice -- the restaurant is the pits. The food and service in the bar and restaurant is one of the worse I have ever experienced. The staff continually complain about management and you can see that morale is low leading to poor service. Luckily there are many restaurants...

2 nights stay that was overall enjoyable There were a couple of problems that I previously noted such as: 1. Lack of available Carts to carry my belongings at check-out & 2. The air conditioning went the room but this issue was immediately addressed and remedied beyond my expectations Very satisfied

Not a bad hotel, but definitely dated. It is in a decent location, and front desk staff were great. I also appreciated the lady running breakfast, she was kind efficient and took great care of me. Overall, I was pleased with the location of my room.
