LIKE FAMILY ------------------ When I arrived, many of the guests already knew each other, so it felt more like family than a house of travelers. On any given day, passing through the central courtyard (a cozy hideaway, complete with fish pond and well-manicured plants), someone might say "Next Tuesday, we're making dinner—everyone's invited!" But if solitude is what you need,...

i really recommend this place. Clean, nice Apartments to stay, some with Kitchen, other can cook on the rooftop with a nice view on the Montain. The Place is quite, but central, it has a little courtyard with a little garden and a little waterfall. Rainbow herself is a very lovely helpful person, her laugh makes me always high spirits.......

I stayed in Rainbow’s Nest again on my last trip to Dali, this time with my two parents which just celebrated their 60’th birthday. I was not disappointed…. my parents loved the place and enjoyed every minute of it… A special thanks for Rainbow, who made everything easier for us. Hope to return again soon.

Stayed here one month and a half. The best place to stay in Dali Old town ! In a quiet and authentic part of the city, yet very close to everything. Western confort (WC, space...) but still in a chinese athmosphere (beautiful wood furnitures, view on incurved roofs, bay window, quiet patio with fountain and gold fishes). The owners, Rainbow...

Rainbow's Nest owned by Rainbow is a delightful place to stay. Conversations with her and her friend over several cups of tea in the courtyard are great memories. The room was spacious with a sitting room looking out over the courtyard and several other Bai courtyards. Rainbow's Nest is clean, very well maintained, centrally located and has lots of history....

Great location in Dali Old town. Beautiful courtyard for relaxing. Lovely large, clean room. Very helpful staff, organizing trips for us and also doing laundry for no charge! Fortunate enough to go to the Flame festival - very fun! Brilliant value for money.

I had the room on the first flooNr facing the courtyard. Love the big window facing the court yard and a great alternative to tv. Spacious living area with day bed. Clean, spacious, quiet, bright and budget-friendly. Free laundry too! Marc is super helpful. Big thank you.

Chose rainbows nest as we are family of 4 and they had 2 bedroom unit. Was the perfect choice as was similar price to a standard double elsewhere. Building is near new and is thus spotless yet retains inner courtyard feeling of traditional guesthouses. Marc's first language is English and Rainbow is fluent easing some of the language challenges in...

My partner and I have lived at the Rainbow's Nest for over 2 months now. And since we both love it so much, I think I should say something here. My favorite is the courtyart. I can sit there all day working, chatting, tanning, eating or star gazing. that and the huge windows that allow plenty of sunlight were the...
