Travellers' Choice
Our story, Our story lies in our name, Hotel Cavtat is located in a picturesque town of Cavtat nestled in thick pines and steps away from the clear blue waters of the Adriatic Sea. We invite you to grab a cocktail and join us on our rooftop pool where you can enjoy endless sunsets and views of Tiha Bay and Rat Peninsula. Immerse yourself into rich history dating back to the ancient times, and get to know a town that came to life as a Roman colony of Epidaurum. The importance of history and heritage to our hotel is evident through different architectural and artistic elements that can be found throughout our interior spaces. Our past paved the way for our future, and we invite you to be a part of it. Grab your walking shoes and let’s explore the archeological finds just outside our grounds. As Cavtat and Dubrovnik are in such close proximity we are fortunate to be part of this rich heritage, but what sets Cavtat apart is its exclusivity to offer leisure and relaxation but with all the happenings of a city life. After a lovely dinner at our a la carte restaurant Cenzura, Cavtats promenade awaits you. Grab a gelato, visit local shops pick up a souvenir or two and watch this town come alive. Sounds of guitars by local artists will fill the streets and your hearts, but don’t stay too late because you may just want to see what Cavtat’s tradition is all about. Rise with the sunrise and experience life from the local’s perspective, go down to the pier and watch the fishermen lay out their catch of the day. Fishing has been a way of life for this town for centuries, so it’s no wonder that seafood is our specialty. Our hotel is a tribute to Cavtat and to Dubrovnik, its elegance and various materials were inspired purely by its surroundings and its heritage. Blue Horizon is what we refer to our original two buildings which fulfill a 3* category and implement shapes of pristine Adriatic Sea and long-lasting fishing tradition. White color dominates in these rooms and is accentuated by blue details which communicate a sense of tranquility and inner calm. Golden Horizon is a new building that was built during our latest investment, these rooms meet 4* standards and are inspired by history, architecture and art. Bright tones from white to sand combined with gold details bring elegance to the space. Cavtat’s endless horizons promise us new hopes and possibilities, with our golden history in mind, our famous artists and prominent sculptures we have all the tools we need to present to you a truly unique hotel experience. Our both Blue and Gold Horizon rooms come with different value-added packages; all you have to do is choose yours. In addition to drawing inspiration from natural and cultural-historical values, Hotel Cavtat contributes to the preservation of community and natural values through various sustainability practices, some of which are waste separation and management, high energy efficiency, local procurement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and many more. Historic charm, great location and authentic Croatian hospitality is what each and every guest can expect. Learn a little, relax a lot and leave with a lifetime of memories, then come back to do it all over again. Sincerely Team Hotel Cavtat

Just got back Oct 31st had a beautiful holiday , though weather did make it , hotel was in a superb location , very clean , beautiful bedroom even without sea view , staff very good , stunning views especially at breakfast , swimming pool , stunning but like an ice bucket , only for the brave , cavtat town , beautiful , excellent bars and restaurants , didn’t have a bad meal all week and there were 6 of us , boat trip to Dubrovnik was good , tip , don’t pay to walk on the wall , we climbed and walked inside the wall and saw a lot more than those who paid !! Would definitely come back to this hotel and cavtat but in September as last week of October everything starts shutting down the day we left was the day the hotel closed though have to say they didn’t make it obvious . All in all beautiful hotel , beautiful cavtat , beautiful holiday , didn’t want to leave 💕

My last review came up as I wrote in 2016 about this hotel. I took my daughter here as she has not visited Croatia and I had fond memories of the last trip. Overall we were not disappointed although the weather was cool during our stay. The views at breakfast and in reception are wonderful. The local area has a few nice restaurants and we went to Dubrovnik easily by water taxi and local buses. We also booked excursions to Bosnis-Herzegovnia and Montenegro. The breakfast has plenty of choice and the omelettes to order a bonus. The weather meant to outdoor seating and pool were not available but this was not a problem. Our rooms were disappointing but even though we were in the "cheap seats" the beds are comfortable and the bathroom fine, with a-warm and a good powerful shower. As mentioned by others the proximity to the airport and swift check in were appreciated. Our first room was in reception and having been up since 5am was extremely tired when still awake at midnight on our first evening.(People talking, phones ringing) The night manager offered us a different room on the 3rd floor until we could sort it out the next day.We returned to reception and were informed by reception that we could keep the room as it was the "same rate" This room had a shady balcony with no sun, with views f the car park and road signs -so not very scenic. In the corridor behind the room was the cleaning cupboards so an early start to each morning as the staff collected the equipment Overall it did not affect our stay in Croatia but the overall experience took some of the joy out of,what had been a long awaited holiday. It felt like we were cheapskates who had complained and deserved no better. I have checked Jet 2 because I thought I might have not booked correctly having booked back in February. The room style we picked is the only option on the website. With current uncertainty I booked a package for peace of mind.

We stayed here for a week, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was well located, the staff friendly and efficient. The room was clean, with a stunning sea view. The only minor criticism is that the room was on the small side, but this didn’t spoil our trip. The breakfast was also very good, with a good selection hot and cold food and a choice of juices, again a minor quibble, and one I find in almost every hotel I’ve stayed in, regardless of how many stars it enjoys, the breakfast coffee was undrinkable, so we had to walk into town for our daily shot of caffeine. But would certainly recommend this hotel

Stayed at the hotel September 29th till October 6th. The drive from the Airport is only 10 minutes tops. Our check in was very smooth and we were wowed at our first impression from the reception of the views . We had a seaview room with a fantastic balcony and breathtaking views. The room was rather basic but absolutely functional and clean. We found the staff very friendly especially the lovely guy who looked after our room. The rooftop pool was lovely and again the views fantastic. Once you got into the infinity pool it was fine temperature wise. There is also a lovely sea swimming area directly across the road from the hotel. We were half board but I believe the hotel will only be doing bed and breakfast in the future. The breakfast was good especially the fresh omelettes. The evening buffet was a bit basic but there was usually something to enjoy. The surrounding area was breathtaking with lots of places to have a nice walk everday and a short stroll to the lovely bars and restaurants. We went on a full day 3 island boat trip which was great value with drinks and lunch included. The hotel doesn't provide any entertainment but that didn't bother us too much. I would definitely recommend this little gem of a hotel and would definitely go again if I was looking for another relaxing break. Paul and Donna
