All inclusive waste of time food not edible, no variety. Choice of boiled beef, fish pasta and chip both lunch and dinner. Salad nearly decomposed and fruit dried up. No butter available for bread. Breakfast well let’s just say it’s ok if your happy with just eating eggs. Hotel and pools dirty. Public toilet not getting cleaned there was faeces left for over 4hours even though it had been raised to the staff. Room service was a no go we had to source our own toilet rolls and towels and leave rubbish by cleaners room Our particular visit was like been at a brothel. Everyday we encountered troubling other holiday makers who on one occasion was having sexual intercourse by the pool on full view to kids and others. Again staff made aware and nothing was done. Overall we paid two thousand pounds for one week to be massively let down. And the hotel was not interest I got told to get in line with rest of complaints they receive daily and JET2HOLIDAYS are not much more of a help. Only good part is that anything outside the hotel was lovely.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for one week. Booked through TUI, all inclusive. Honestly, please spend that little bit extra and stay somewhere else. The hotel is really jaded and run down. Really needs some attention. If you do decide to stay here, don't go for all inclusive. We ended up eating out in Cavtat every night, the food is so cheap and amazing! Anyway, the drinks at the hotel are vile, the only drink we found drinkable was the water. The fruit juices are pure sugar, and the wine and beer are not worth trying. We ended up buying our own mixer from the shop (diet coke etc) to have with the spirits. The food was disgusting and using really cheap cuts of meat. Found insects in the salads. And once tried the asparagus soup, pretty sure someone dropped a fag in there because it tasted like I was eating a cigarette butt. We also had issues with our air con unit not working before bed, sleeping in that heat isn't comfortable. We informed that staff at reception, really helpful the response we got was "just open the window, you'll be okay" I'm sorry but if you pay for a service you should receive it, and no effort at all trying to fix it. Cleanliness not great especially in the bathroom where it should be spot on, found grey hairs in our towels that weren't ours! Gross. The only good thing going for this hotel is the location, and the seaside walk to the local town which is 10mins walk away. That's about it. Just stay somewhere else please.

Thanks to the Covid thing we lost a holiday cruise, rebooked Spain, lost that, and then finally went for Croatia just to get away somewhere. I booked Hotel Epidaurus because it was fairly priced, in a green zone, and in a country i'd never visited. My Son and I stayed for nine nights. I'm not a fussy guy and although I'd read some ropey reviews for this hotel I wasn't too worried. I eat almost anything, and don't ask for much, so I was sure this would be a good break. And it broadly was, but sadly that was nothing much to do with the hotel. Hotel Epidaurus really is pretty poor. In appearance, it looks fine. The reception and building is fine and the grounds are nicely kept and lit. Its nestled in the Town of Cavtat, which is beautiful and which we enjoyed very much. The staff are pleasant and try to be helpful. But the problems outweight the good stuff. First - the food. It's not good. If, like us, you've been to plenty of these "buffet help yourself" hotels then you know what to expect already. Except that of all the ones I've ever been to, this was the worst. The fewest choices, and those few choices all being pretty unappetising. As I said before, I'll eat most anything, and none of this food is inedible. But when you've paid thousands of pounds to stay somewhere you don't just want to think "well, I can probably find something I can eat." You want to enjoy your meals. We tried 2 or 3 times, but ended up eating out most of the time. We're on holiday, not in prison. However, having done this sort of holiday many times, its not the first time I've faced bad food and ended up eating at restaurants most times. If that had been the only issue, it would have been a minor mishap. The pool is absolutely tiny. Its ridiculous really, given how many guests this hotel has, for its pool to be this size. Everybody wants the sunbeds around it, but there are so few its impossible. The hotel manages this by putting sunbeds of every spare bit of concrete, grass or land it can find in its tiny grounds. The upshot is a mess of sunbeds all over the place, in all sorts of odd corners. Get up at 6.30 and you'll get a bed by the pool. Lay in until Nine and you'll be on a sunbed on a bit of dirty concrete, down a side path, beside a bin and some bushes. Some people put sunbeds on the "beach" (6 feet of stones) or on the concrete slab overlooking the sea. Make sure you have beach shoes or you are going to cut your feet to ribbons trying to take a dip. This is solveable by taking a short walk to the beach down the way where you can hire an inexpensive sunbed and parasol right near a nice bar and several restaurants. Although this is still a stony beach and beach shoes will be necessary, its a good option, as long as you are happy just with salt water. If you like a pool, then you're really limited. There are loads of nice bars and restaurants as you walk from the Hotel into town and the whole town is gorgeous. The "entertainment" in the hotel - just dont bother. They are nice enough people, but there' s just nothing at all really. A few kids games, some poolside "darts" and a really really bad kiddie disco that, for some inexplicable reason, plays loud music until midnight regardless of anybody being in there. All aimed at French and with basically nothing for English. For us, we could have ignored all of this and still had fun but for the worst problem. The aircon in the rooms are godawful. Now this might sounds like a minor thing, but I promise you it is not. We complained and they came and "repaired" it several times. Didnt make the slightest bit of difference. Speaking to other guests it became clear this isn't a problem with one piece of faulty equipment, this is a problem with their entire "air con" system. Clearly, it simply doesn't have the power to do its job. The upshot of this is that the room is like a sweatbox. Its like a flashback to package holidays in the Eighties when there was no aircon and stifling all night was just part of the deal. But in 2021? You expect aircon to work. Because the aircon was so so so so awful, puffing out tiny wisps of cool air that would immediately dissipate if even one adult body was in the room radiating body heat, it meant sleeping was a nightmare. Boiling hot, sweating, even with no covers or clothing. The only thing seemed to be to open the balcony wide and let the night air in. That didn't help a great deal, but it was a LITTLE cooler. And when you're gasping for air, that little cooler is a godsend. Except that while letting in the cool air it also let in the mosquitos. And Croatian mosquitos are a special breed. It became quite normal to get 8 to 12 new bites every single night. So our choice became whether we wanted to be cooked alive or eaten alive. Not good options, really. Our day out in Dubrovnik was amazing. Its well worth a visit and if you do - walk around on top the city walls, we loved that. But take a hat and some water. It gets real hot. Croatia is a nice country and Cavtat is a delightful town. But if you're going, really, don't stay at this hotel. And if you've already booked this hotel then my best advice is to take some things with you; a table fan, beach shoes, mosquito repellent (the best you can find, and lots of it) and a lot of money for eating out. Don't both with Fully Comp, the bar is slow and the drinks are poor. Food and drink in town is reasonably priced and a million times better. Its a shame. This place does have potential. But it just seems like they've done everything they can to save pennies. Invest in a decent pool. Get in proper working air con, and book some actual entertainment for your outside entertainment area, and it could be so much better. As it stands, best avoided. My Son and I got home today. We are covered in insect bites and desperate to sleep in cool room on a comfortable bed. We are glad to be back. Do we regret the trip? No. If nothing else, its made some fun stories for the future. But as a review of this hotel it must certainly be a big thumbs down.

The place was dirty the pools were tired the pool furniture was dirty and broken the food was inedible the drinks were not drinkable we arrived about teatime and went to find something to eat but it looked that bad and unclean we decided it would be safer to eat out on are way out we stopped at the lobby bar for a cocktail which was not drinkable all over the hotel we where met by people telling us much worse it was regarding food drinks and what there companies had done about it jet 2 had refunded some of there families there all inclusive fees and given them vouchers off there next holidays easyJet seem to be the best at more or less relocating there guests immediately The hotel seems to have opened in a rush and would benefit from a closure period where they could sort out maintenance issues and a deep clean as the location is excellent and the views are amazing
