I think it's important going in to understand what you're getting, and the questions to ask when being assigned a room. It's a lovely location. The lake is beautiful, the restaurant isn't bad, the pool is nice, and the crested cranes are a nice touch. Some of the rooms, however, are really awful--I assume the fact that there's such a...

I've traveled multiple times across the continent of Africa and I am always grateful for a hotel with good running water, adequate air and internet and food that doesn't cause me to think twice. So when I found that here in Goma (where those things can be rather slim), I was thrilled. HOWEVER, I have never been in a hotel...

The hotel is located near the border with Rwanda. There are not too many decent hotels in town, so we chose Ihusi for its good breakfast, 24/7 electricity and 24/7 (poor) wifi. And, of course, the view of the lake is quite amazing. The rooms range from decent to good, depending on what you are willing to pay. Each room...

this is ,by far, not a best place to stay if you're in Goma, DRC. Rooms arent too clean, reception service isn't the greatest, WiFi is spotty and interrupts all of the time. Swiming pool, the main attraction of a lot of local ppl, is overcrowded... well, the breakfast, which was included in my room cost, was the best time...

Goma is kind of not easy city, so security is an issue if you sleep there! In the hotel somehow you feel confortable! Rooms are nice and clean! Shower works very well with hot water and nice pression! Location at lake is very beautifull and also has nice bar and pool! Service is not excepcional but is also not desapointing!wi...

The hotel has fantastic views on the lake, a nice restaurant with a good breakfast and a great swimming pool & tennis courts. The rooms are nice but a bit dated. I found the price value relationship ok and paid $128 a night. I would definitely chose this hotel again when I travel next time to Goma.

This hotel is a collection of buildings on the shore of Lake Kivu. I was there twice on this trip and saw three rooms. They were quite different is size and layout, and each had significant quirks. Not everything works, and electricity isn't entirely reliable. Overall, the hotel is comfortable, but it needs to be upgraded. Many of the rooms...

Had to spend a week here on a business trip and was booked at the Ihusi Hotel. About a year ago I spent a week in the same hotel and was looking forward to the stay. The room was not very nice the mattress was as soft as the concrete floor and there was little water pressure and when I...

This is the 3rd or 4th time I have stayed at Ihusi Hotel. I have mixed reviews of the hotel based on the 2 rooms I have tried this time around. I first chose Room 30 since this was near the entrance and the reception. I figured I didn’t really want a long walk in the morning. The room was...
