Highly recommended. The food is great, the hotel is clean and the staff is really nice and friendly. Great location, within walking distance of a few city sightseeing locations and with many restaurants and shops also nearby. Short but great stay!
Excellent service. Would highly recommend it. Great breakfast! The view was superb. The wine was exquisite. I would have liked to stay one more night. Chocolate coated strawberries were really delicious.

Hi there, sorry for the delay, just returned from the Canadian Arctic and haven't looked into TripAdvisor... The Oro Verde Hotel is in downtown Guayaquil. It's a few blocks from the cathedral and the new esplanade. It has, I believe, two restaurants in house. There is a good (but expensive) restaurant about 200 yds away in the same street. There must be many restaurants nearby (as it is downtown), but please ask the bell man at Oro Verde and take a taxi. I do not recommend walking around in this area at night.
