The brother and sister who run the place are so friendly and helpful, offering advice and even walking me to some food places when I was tired and kept getting lost! They were happy to chat and the guest house was spotless and very chilled out. The room was very comfortable and the air con much needed in humid Guayaquil....

The staff at this hostel are some of the most friendly and helpful I have ever met. The owner spent so much time giving us advice and helping us find bus times. The breakfast was lovely; fruit, eggs, toast, juice and tea/coffee and they could serve it whenever you asked. The rooms were basic but clean and we were given...

Had a great time staying in Tangara Guest House, the staff was so kind and helpful, the location was good and the room was simple but nice. Even with a cute walk-in-closet ;) I stayed both at Hilton hotel and Tangara, and would pick Tangara over Hilton anytime - I felt so much more at home!

Firstly, the lady who owns this place is so kind and helpful, its clear she tries very hard to have a successful guesthouse. Compared with other guesthouses in ecuador it is on the expensive side but breakfast is very nice. The rooms have very old fashioned decor but its all very clean. The social area is very comfortable and theres...

We chose this place based entirely on other TripAdvisor reviews and I wonder if it was really the same place! The room was somewhat clean (as in not actually clean) and basic - no frills, which is fine and not surprising, but this is overpriced for what you get. The bathroom was tiny and not very nice, but the bed...

Hola svsp; I am sorry we did not meet your expectations and will follow up closely on all of your comments. About the airport pick up cost, please note it is USD 20 during the night (USD 10 in daytime) and it covers not only the guest´s transportation to the guest house, but also that for the person who goest...

We were warmly received at Tangara by Antonio and the staff here, and shown to a spacious room with AC and colourful throws on the beds. We went out for a late dinner to a recommended place nearby and enjoyed a delicious breakfast the next morning of fresh fruit and eggs. We had to go straight on with our traveling...

The Tangara Guest House itself is fairly ordinary so if you're looking for fluffy towels, 24 hr concierge service and a bar in the lobby you may want to go elsewhere. On the other hand if you seek a warm, family-like home stay and a host who spares no effort in making your visit a pleasure the Tangara is the...

We stayed 2 nights at Tangara during a stopover in Guayaquil and had a very positive experience. The rooms were clean and air conditioned, the breakfast was great an the property is very secure. Further, the location is central to the airport + tourist areas + main shopping malls (about $4 USD taxi ride to each). The staff are very...

We stayed two nights in Tangara in a private room. We made a reservation on forehand and although we arrived 24 hours later because we got stuck in Cuzco airport, we didn't have to pay for the night that we weren't there. The staff is very friendly and helpfull and the accomodation is cosy, just like a real home. We...

We arrived into Guayaquil in the morning after an overnight bus ride & took a taxi to Tangara Guest House. We were able to check into our room early, which was great to freshen up. The room was clean with comfortable beds & private shower. Good hot water. There is a communal indoor & outdoor area with wifi available. Breakfast...
