We stayed three days in two rooms. Clean, super helpful staff if you speak Spanish. Restaurant was tasty and sacred healing ceremonies happen 1st Saturday of the month. We had the healing massage which was more energy work than a massage but hugely beneficial. Peguche is a quiet little town if you want to escape the busy streets of Otavalo.

I loved it here and highly recommend it. Getting to know the owner of the hostal better was what made this trip so great. She was so kind and helpful planning our time in Otavalo and Peguche. To be right next to nature, now that's really something else. We were right next to a railroad track too and that was... More

The Dutch Ecuadorian couple who own the Hostal are beautiful warm and extremely helpful. The rooms are varied, all clean cozy and welcoming. Their adjacent restaurant is attractive with good food, great trout, and an appreciated fireplace. The Hostal is situated a few kilometres outside of Otavalo in the indigenous town of Peguche full of marvellous weaving, you can hear... More

as whe where told it was a realy nice place, its possible that we expected too much.We arrived quite late in the evening and just got a room without asking what the price was. Next day 2 fellowtravellers arrived and got a much cheaper room, 20 instead of 35 dollar. Of course it is your own responsibility, but i thought... More

We stayed there for 2 nights. It is some 5-10 mins taxi ride from Otavalo and located in a quiet little town where we met and chat with the locals. We saw a traditional tourist train passing by in both Sat. and Sun. morning. Quite interesting. The room is ok but better with hotter shower water and firmer bed mattress.... More

Its okay if you dont care about the rooms. It has a fine location and the breakfest was good. For the rooms: Poor mattresses , thin and you could feel the springs. Here in july it was freezing in the night.

Great place, location at a $1 taxi ride from Otavalo center. The rooms are pretty basic, but very decent. It was clean and tidy. If you hit some colder weather the rooms might be a bit cold as well. Nice breakfast and diner at the restaurant. The lunchboxes they supply are also great to take with you on a hike... More

Enjoyed staying at this hostel as we could easily walk to the Peguche Waterfallsl. We happened to be there at dusk so we could see Otavalo lit up in the distance. We experienced our first rain in 5 weeks in Ecuador so were thrilled to be met with a warm drink and dry out by a glowing fire in the... More

Ive stayed at this hostel twice -- I returned to show my friends because I had a wonderful time. The hostel itself I think is ideally located, in rural Peguche, not too far but not too close to Otavalo. Everything is spaced out - the rooms, the restaurant, the camp ground/ritual ground, but it was not inconvenient. There are really... More
