Part of me wants to give Hostal Oasis 4 stars, because the service is friendly and helpful, the courtyard invites conversation with other guests, there is a stove and sink in the courtyard, and they have off-street parking for two vehicles. But between the roosters crowing and the dog barking on the roof across the street, sleep is impossible for...

There doesnt seem to be much backpacker outlets in this town so this came up as the budget alternative. clean, comfy, wifi, hot water and amazing family hospitality. ... I definitely recommend it. its also within 10min walk of everything.

A great Little oasis. Close to much of the sites, churches, train station etc. The bedroom was very nice with the poster bed and included a private kitchen. There was also a communal kitchen and sitting area. The outside area was really nice, great place to relax. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Very secure.

We have read good things about this hostel and thats the reason we made a reservation. When we were there the owner told us they were fully booked (even when we had a confirmed reservation voor Oasis I) but he got rooms in Oasis II, another hostel he is running. At the first sight it looks all right and cosy!...

My husband and I stayed 2 nights and enjoyed being able to relax. The rooms are clean, quiet (unless you meet some crazy Canadian's that insist you drink with them!) and good beds. Some of the beds in Ecuador state firm, which means rock hard, not here, these were comfortable. A safe, nice place to see the city.

My boyfriend and I stayed here two nights in a private room. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The family running the hostel was very pleasant and friendly. The rooms were nice with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. It has stainless glass windows and doors that were really neat and unique, a cute outdoor patio that we spent lots of...

I had a wonderful stay here and was actually sad to leave Riobamba because of how much this hostel felt like home. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the little courtyard garden is the perfect place to chill out (and there's a very friendly cat, too). The staff were absolutely brilliant and helped me with various things...

The location is good, not far from the main squares, although if you need to go anywhere not within walking distance taxis are really cheap anyway. The accommodation is OK, the flooring in our room wasn't very clean. The family that run the place appear very friendly although only really speak Spanish. It can be quite noisy in the night/early...

we found this Hostal thru the Lonely Planet and it is everything it is described to be Plus MORE... Nice rooms, comfy beds, friendly staff. We were a bit concerned because on the map it is quite a ways from points of interest. The receptionist even said how tranquil it was compared to places in the hub. However, there must...
