My family and I stayed at the Royal Albatross Moderna for ten days this half term. The site was spotlessly clean and maintenance was taking place regularly. There was a good selection of food in the different restaurants and all was well covered for cleanliness. There were regular hand sanitising stations throughout the hotel (although the vast majority of families chose not to use these). The staff were amazing. Particularly Sayed on Reception, Sabry from the Sports Bar (a must for a fabulous cocktail) and Mohammed, our daily cleaner, who ensured we were well cared for and comfortable throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this resort.
Really enjoyed our stay, huge hotel complex, very clean and staff are very friendly. It has a lot of restaurants to choose from, but all are buffet so feel a bit more like cafeteria. The food is good, there is so much choice you can always find something you like but it does get a bit repetitive. As the restaurants are all together people sit in one but tour the others to check out what is available and bring it back to where they are sitting, so lots of people walking back and forth with full plates. Plenty of sun beds so no need to wake up early for one unless you want a particular spot, this hotel has lots of pools so you can choose one to suit, there are kids pools, quiet pools and the main ones which have a lot of things going on like aqua aerobics and music playing, also lots of beds in the beach too. There are two water parks for kids and adults with their own loungers and a bar. 20 minutes to Naama bay if you want to shop and eat out of the hotel, £10 each way. Also quite a few shops a few minutes walk from the hotel on the main road. The all inclusive drinks are very plentiful as there are so many bars to choose from, as in all Egyptian all inclusive hotels the local spirits are very rough so the cocktails are not that good. You can snorkel off the long pier, there is a reef with lots of fish. The only negative for me was the hotel was 95% Russian and Ukrainian and they do not understand the principles of queuing or social distancing. Enjoyed my time, would go again.…
The service sucks!!! I don’t ever recommend this hotel and just FYI this hotel is not 5 star , I can only say this is 3 STAR Hotel!!! The rooms are dirty, they don’t provide toothpaste and toothbrush, not even SHAMPOO which I’ve been asking for it since 4 days!!!! People are rude reception people won’t even wanna talk with you to get an information for the hotel!!! Bartenders are the worst you want get what you want unless you TIP them but how can you tip them if you are with your swimsuits and won’t have cash at the moment! Plus they said they have several restaurants but they all serve same food and it’s always BUFFET not an actual restaurants plus no service not enough waiters to serve you, always self serve which is not good!
It could be great if they didn't have unrenovated rooms. I requested the change of room and it was done without any problems. The food is very good, the hotel is clean, the staff is very involved. Thanks to Ahmed Elnoby, he was very hardworking and kind and the waiters in the Mediterranean restaurant and Zum Kaiser. The only minus is WIFI that works slowly even in the reception. I recommend the hotel for families with children.
A Great place for a short vacation. The hotel is spacious with helpful staff yet reception and check in was slow at peak time. Generally clean and follows COVID precautions. Food was fresh/tasty and the variety was well preserved. Swimming pool and beach are wonderful full of fun for kids and adults. Location was very convenient away from traffic and local bazaar shops are just around the corner.
