I've day tripped here and enjoyed lunch and swimming on three separate visits. The first time in 2007 with my handicapped Mom and a friend to celebrate a birthday. We were treated as if long lost friends. Made to feel very welcome. Great location, good...More
We stayed here our last night in Moorea before heading home in a premium over-water bungalow. Awesome! My whole family was swimming in the ocean right off our deck, played in the pool, went kayaking and paddle boarding. Dinner at the hotel was very good,...More
I cannot fault the Moorea Pearl Resort due to the exceptional service I received on my recent visit to Tahiti.

LAX is large but manageable. Air Tahiti leaves at the bottom (center) of the U-shape of this airport, which is where I believe (but not sure) that many if not most of international flights arrive/depart. If your luggage is booked through, that may help, but my guess is that if you enter US territory, you'll have to have it go through customs, which can mean some delay. I would count on 3-4 hrs for transit since you are supposed to check in for Air Tahiti 2 hrs. early. It flew on time and seemed like a good, reliable airline. Enjoy!
