We stayed there one night, and this was enough... The hotel is nothing special, with rooms in serious need of a refurbishment, but at least, it was clean and conviniently located. Food was nothing special. Not great but OK for one night.

We arrived in Lanquin (45 min away from Semuc Champey) full of excitement and ready to explore! This hotel was the first hotel at the entrance of the village. After seeing other hotels in Lanquin, and staying in another hostal in Coban from the same owner, we decided to stay here. The hotel is literally in the middle of the...

It's an old low budget hotel, with a couple of new rooms, more clean and better infrastructure. Free parking Have to be careful with the wild life, cause is all around. Even inside the room, we found a scorpion in the sink.

Please note there are two hotels , I'm referring to the one at the entrance to the village, we stayed in the new house/villa, it seems to be a new building, it has the basic needs for a one night sleep before going to semuc champey

We stayed one night at this small hotel in the middle of the jungle. We were close to the caves which was nice to visit. Our room was what you should be expected in the jungle. We stayed in the back our bed was reasonably comfortable room was clean lots of hot water. No extra pillows though. The restaurant was...

Its a really nice hotel surrounded amazing mounts and river. The rooms are comfortable and clean. My favorite part was the buffet dinner which so rich and delicious. The staff was nice, helpful and created great atmosphere. I also took a tour to Semuc Champey one of the greatest place that I have ever seen. I can recommend to everyone...

I was extremely displeased by this hotel because of the high ratingsgiven to it. The rooms where paper thin and there was barely any hot water. They have two filthy swimming pools that are black from algae. The food is soggy and disgusting. The beds are uncomfortable. Absolutely do not recommend.

Nice tropical compound run by a rather large queen bee type who dominated the staff. No bottled water in the rooms and they rip you off for it at twice the price of the tiendas in Lanquin. The food is very expensive . The separate block is quite new and very nice with fans and good bathrooms. My NGO leader...

A 3/4 hour drive away from the main site of Semur Champey is this lovely jungle lodge run by Guatemalas. It over looks the lake and organises tours too. But you can go on your own for a faction of the piece. The rooms are comfortable and large. The food good, the wifi you pay for. The lake cold, restaurant...

After a long journey to visit Semuc Champey we arrived to this beautiful retreat... Located in the middle of the forest it had clean rooms and good beds and showers. Don't expect a Marriott in this place but in el Recreo you will be fine. They also prepare good breakfasts and delicious fruit licuados (juices)
