Sociable hostel with wonderful location in the jungle very close to the reason you're here -Semuc Champey. We planned to stay two nights, ended up staying a week. Lovely food and terrific staff! We had nothing to complain about. If you come here with the right expectations (the hostel is as said in the middle of the jungle and not...

When you get there, you think "how on earth someone came to build something there?"...amazing view and commun space. Very welcoming staff. The negative point was our private bedroom (not that private) that had dirty sheets (even if we are in the jungle, we should be able to have clean sheets) and the commun bathroom where there is no light...

the food was fine, even though I am not a vegetarian, but limited in quantity so after a day of activity you might still be hungry. There was NO hot water, ever, even after asking for someone to look into it. There was a group of us and none of us in any of the cabins had hot water. The...

This was a beautiful place to spend a few days relaxing, deep in the jungle. It's not a party hostel but was still friendly and good for meeting people, partly due to the 7pm communal dinner and happy hour. We had a private room which was comfortable although basic and, for what it was, quite expensive (unless you really value...

Great view! Great people! Great vision! Fairly clean rooms but remember, this is jungle life so don't expect 5 star luxury. The whole place is open so there is quite a bit of bugs and flies around. Also occasionally (big) spiders and other creepy crawlers. Not too bad, really. But if you are terrified of bugs and such, you might...

They are very efficient when it comes to services, their tours are organized and amazing and the volunteers are super helpful. I would defiantly recommend staying here to experience this region....

My boyfriend and I booked 4 nights here and from the first night, we knew it was 3 too many! We arrived in Lanquin after an 11 hour journey to be rushed off the bus to get our pick up and as soon as everyone was together ready to go, the guy disappeared and we had to wait 30/40mins. Pro's:...

We camped riverside at Utopia for a week and it was paradise. The staff were very accommodating and had a lot of local knowledge about Semuc Champey, the caves, and how to get there. It's about 45 minutes walking and you can tube back along the river if you want, literally to your door step if you're camping! There is...

I stayed in one of their cabins. When we emailed they said that the cabins we emailed about were full, so they uphold us to another cabin. When we were there we were the only people in a cabin, everyone else was in the dorm. This made me feel duped from the beginning. The food is okay. The home made...

We had the best experience here, nothing negative to say. Couldn't recommend it enough. Great set up, views and staff. Everything clean. Have to buy all your meals there, but great food with a family evening dinner. All vegetarian. Good bar with happy hour. Great spot to go into the national park from and you can tube back from the...
