We anchored off Anthony’s Key Resort, long famous for its dolphins, where we swam and lunched aboard Roger's Cat Cruises, the best daylong cat tour in Roatan. We later returned by car for photo ops and to visit the excellent gift shop.

So let me start by sharing a few opinions about Roatan in general, not AKR specifically. If your trip is about lounging on the beach, and other primarily land based activities, you should look at other islands. This was my second trip to Roatan, and i'm sure there will be more. But my trips there are all about being under...

If you have read any of my previous reviews I like to provide a detailed review to help future guests make an informed decision about staying there. The review of AKR will be no different: 1) If you go back in the AKR reviews to January there are numerous ones discussing a stomach virus that hit the resort. Once it...

We have stayed at several resorts on Roatan, Bonaire, Grand Turks, Salt Cay, etc.. Our absolute favorite is AKR. We have stayed at the resort probably 8 or 9 times. Our group usually consists of divers and snorkelers. They take care of both types with a SMILE. The diving is good and they also have a boat only for snorkelers....

Arriving to Roatan the airport was small and packed. Two jets landed unloading at the same time really backed things up. After getting through customs, Anthony's Key personnel were waiting for their guests. All of the employees at t he airport were wearing Anthony's Key shirts so they were easily picked out. They took out baggage, loaded it into a...

We took our teenagers here for their first warm water diving experience, and it was great! We stayed in bungalows 55 and 56 which shared the same over the water covered porch. ROOMS Really nice, spacious rooms with comfortable beds. We had spotty wifi from our bungalow porch. (Best wifi was in the dining room). We like the air conditioning...

My wife and I Spent a week at Anthony's in October 2016. We are active divers, and had heard about Anthony's for a couple years. I must say that this was one of the best overall experiences we have had. The resort is top notch, the food was very very good quality, and there was plenty of it. The dive...

It is great resort, professional scuba diving operation, well organized, food is very good, rooms clean, friendly staff, great hotel, highly recommended, usually they offer a good promotion and next year will be 2 for the price of 1. The hotel worth every penny.

At the airport, once through customs, the Resort’s welcoming staff met us, and managed our luggage and ride to the resort. Nice to be in an air conditioned vehicle meeting and greeting the other divers. At the resort, we enjoyed the rum punch as our “administrative” paper work was completed. The opportunity for a “delayed” lunch made most of the...

What a great place!! Our LDS booked the resort last August for a dive trip and what an incredible time. From over the water bungalows to amazing food to awesome, friendly staff this place had it. Menu items changed daily for lunch and dinner so you weren't eating the same thing. Food was always fresh and hot. Servers are on...
