We traveled to AKR in 2009 for a dive vacation after diving there from a cruise ship earlier in the year. This year we decided to return there and take some family with us for the diving. I was a little worried that it just...More

This resort is a well-oiled machine which really spoils its guests while still keeping it Caribbean relaxed. The 2 for 1 deal is hard to beat as it includes meals, lodging, and all the diving/snorkeling you can handle. I was worried that I'd be bored...More

My wife and I stayed at Anthony's Key Resort (AKR) the second week of October 2017. It rained EVERYDAY we were there. It rained so hard one day the airport flooded and we had multiple mud slides in the area. Even though the weather was...More

This is a great place. We have been here many times and are going to go back. Roatan is pretty safe, unlike the capitol of Honduras. The diving is good, the dolphin encounters are very fun. The property is beautiful. The food is good. This...More

We just completed our second trip to AKR. Again it was perfect! My husband dives and I snorkel, so we both get to do what we love. The staff is wonderful, every single person, from housekeeping to dive masters. Everyone likes working there and you...More

US Dollars are accepted all over the Caribbean. And in many cases preferred over the local currency. Bring lots of $1 & $5 bills with you for the most utility.

We didn't change at all. Everything was in US dollars and credit cards are accepted in most restaurants and shops :)

No, we didn't do one macro dive. Our dives were reef dives with large fish, lots of turtles and a GREAT shark dive. We also dove two wrecks ( they were just ok dives). Hope this helped, have a great time.
