In the heart of West End, but a little up the hill away from the road noise, the location is ideal. A short walk to everything. I had a one bedroom apartment on the second floor with a private balcony and kitchen. Being able to eat in saves a few bucks, and a cold beer in the PM sure is...

Mike and Sue were the perfect hosts on our 25 night stay at Mariposa. They ensured our needs were well met. Mariposa has outstanding upgrades such as new air conditioning and secure modern shaded windows. The kitchenette in our one bedroom apartment was well equipped and clean. Roatan and Mariposa were a highlight of our 40 day trip in Central...

I ended up staying at Mariposa for almost a month. ( Dec 28 till Jan 25th) . I chose Mariposa because of its location smack in the middle of West End - tucked away enough to not be completely on the main road. Besides the apartment I loved the balcony with a hammock and a table. I could sip a...

Mike and Sue are incredible hosts. We felt so welcomed and they went above and beyond to make our stay great. We were there for almost a month and would have loved to stay longer. They helped us set up transport to the airport and helped us with all our bags. Sue even made us cookies for our trip since...

Mariposa Lodge was a great place to stay. Owners Mike and Sue we very nice and always made sure the room was tidy and stocked. My room had a kitchen, which provided everything I needed for the week stay. It is just off the main road which is nice as you don't get the noise from bars on main street...

I stayed for a week at the Mariposa Lodge over the Christmas holiday, 2015. It was a perfect place to stay in West End. The lodge sits a short walk off the main road. It was quiet, which was a good thing since I was there over New Year's Eve. I was able to sleep with all the partying going...

Just spent 8 wonderful days at this great little gem of a lodge. Everything you can need for a nice stay! Clean, stocked kitchenette, great water pressure, optional AC, Cable, Wifi, relaxing porch with table and chairs and a hammock to relax and read! Great owners (Sue and Michael) that know the area and can help you find the activities...

We stayed for 6 nights at the lodge. It's at the end of a small path off the main high street in the heart of west end. The apartment was fairly large with good living space and a small kitchenette with all utensils included. There was also a terrace with a hammock which was fab. It also had a fridge...

Located in a quiet enclave, yet a 2 min walk from the shops and restaurants of West End. Run by a friendly Canadian couple who were great to chat with. There is a book and DVD library which is useful as it is almost impossible to find English books in Roatan. WiFi was very weak and almost non existent. There...

I have stayed here for during summers for the past 2 years now and have always been very comfortable and safe. The owners are very accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommend staying at this lodge when planning your trip to Roatan.
