The hotel is on the banks of the river krishna and very well maintained. Rooms are clean, spacious and comes with a balcony facing the river thats apt for spending time. Could see people doing yoga, walking, cycling, playing or simply sitting on a bench facing the river and this spirit of the surrounding boasts our own. staffs are kind and friendly and would like to visit again to get the same. The location is at a walking distance from the temple.
Nice place to see and being there. It is maintained well.It has clean and neat maintanance.People feel comfort in all needs. It has the big place to garden and car and two vehilar parking. It is near vijayawada railway station.
Once you are inside the Hotel campus, you can't imagine that a very busy city is just on the other side of the road. The place is very calm and serene. The rooms are well maintained and all the rooms have the river view. Their is a sprawling lawn on the bank of River Krishna. Food is served at room. Worth the money.
There is no doubt Haritha hotels are built in prime locations. Berm Park is no exception to this. We debated over Bhavani Island and Berm Park, and we are glad we chose Berm Park. It has got be one of the best properties of APTDC and TSTDC. *This is a long review* You can find different sections marked in "*". *Best location* One of the best attractions of Vijayawada is the Krishna waterfront or the Berm Park. This is where you board the ferry to Bhavani Island. Berm Park is well developed for its purpose. On the left, maybe a kilometer downstream, you see Prakasam Barrage, which is colorfully lit in the evenings and it offers a spectacular show of running lights. Opposite, you see banks of Krishna on Bhavani Island. Pre-Christmas 2017, the island was being readied with a new Musical and Color Lights Fountain built in the water and, as it was being tested, offered stunning show from our room balcony. *The waterfront is an attraction* Berm Park has a decent design for a waterfront, with play area and make shift activities for children and ample walking and sitting places. Several vendors offer evening snacks and knick knacks. The place is well lit and safe. The Park, the Haritha portion of the waterfront and the ferry boarding point are all connected during public hours. The waterside gardens of Haritha are well maintained and it's nice to step on the grass or sit on it for relaxation. The grounds side lawn of Haritha is well manicured and maintained, with ornamental trees. The only downside to this park is the upstream end of the park where waters are dirty and stinking. Some attention could be paid to restore full beauty of this place. But, that's distant from the hotel, and should not affect your stay. *Best Rooms* Berm Park has three to four star hotel type of accommodation, something unusual for a Haritha. We took a Suite which offered two-room type of set up - a fully furnished living room with a small chandelier and side lamps, a fully furnished bedroom and a modern style bathroom. The bathroom too was well designed for use by at least two people- as it has a common area and an enclosed shower area. All balconies face the waterfront and offer a limited but beautiful view of the Krishna river. After the public hours or at dawn you can relax and watch the mist settle down on the river in the background of water lapping against the steps on the banks. The rooms are cosy and comfortable and above the standard of a 'typical' Haritha. *Delectable food and good room service* The food, again, much in contrast to several Harithas we have been to, was impressive. The quaint restaurant is well managed. It offers a good view of the river beyond the hotel gardens. The Southern and Tandoori fare are equally good. The Suite got us complimentary breakfast and it was a limited but tasteful made to order deal. The lunch and dinner had a Kebab Festival on during our stay and the starters were authentic and full of flavours. The mint chutney is worth remembering. The Christmas weekend was probably a busy time and we thought the service was slow, but, we found the service to be prompt and accurate after the weekend rush subsided. We had a little bit of a struggle getting in room supplies - coffee sachets, tea bags etc, as they seems to be out of stock all the time. *Overall* Berm Park Haritha is a conveniently located property l, and in my opinion, it sets benchmark for other Haritha properties. We are happy with our stay here.…
Offers good view of krishna river and prakasam barrage. Ferry to bhavani island starts from here. Good place to go for evening walk. Currently highway road construction is going on, so access to the park is bit difficult.
