Set in a winding dirt road above the main road, Ambady Estates had duplex cottages, each with private contemplative garden area, cathedral ceilings, spacious baths. Lighted paths wind to the restaurant and the reception area. WiFi is weak in the cottages but fine in restaurant and reception house. Power cuts were alleviated by their own generator. The food in the...

This has to be one of our favourite places to have stayed on any holiday! Our cottage was situated within the organic farm looking over acres of greenery. Waking up to all the sounds of the local wildlife, stepping out into our own green space and taking in the fresh air of Munnar was such a treat. The staff couldn't...

We stayed here as part of our tour around Kerala. The grounds are huge and worth an explore. We felt that perhaps more information could have been given about the grounds and where we could go/see. The accommodation is lovely with huge ceilings. No ac but at night it cools down so a fan was enough. The bathroom is great...

It was the most relaxing holiday ever. Sipping cardamom tea outdoors at a lovely 17 Celsius, with nature a buzz around us was more than anyone can dream off. The host, Dr Rajesh and team always wore broad smiles and ever willing to make our stay both unique and comfortable. We had first hand Kerala cooking demos, magnificent walking trails...

They are SO nice. And they so much want you to have a great stay. I felt sorry for them, because it was raining for most of our two days there, cuz - to be honest - when it is raining, there is not so much to do. No pool, no bar, no nearby village. The thing you go to...

Many of the reviews comment on the peaceful setting and it really is. After days travelling north and south India this was the place where we could truly relax, unwind and read our books. The town of Munnar is a popular weekend destination for Indians as well as being on the radar for overseas tourists, however you leave all of...

I stayed 2 nights at Ambady Estate, and I wish I could have stayed here longer. This place is wonderful. Lots of trees, flowers and birds. Very comfortable, attractive duplex cottages. A traveling companion & I were in C-1 and C-2. Each with lots of windows (which opened to delightfully cool mountain air), a sitting room with mini fridge &...

This was a quiet spot with plenty of space in the garden which was restful. Food in the slightly quirky restaurant, a separate building, was good. We enjoyed the curries both evenings we were here. Staff attentive, perhaps a little too much so.
