We were a group of nine people who stayed at the resort for 2 nights in January. It is one of the best kept secrets in terms of accomodation ..well kept, beautifully decorated and very peaceful. The owner, Mr Harish,is immensely involved to ensure everything runs well. The food is like home cooked food and the staff is very helpful. The activities...

Our driver had problems to find Kaivalyam retreat because there was only a small, old sign at the main road. The location is secluded and very calm and quiet. Nice big room with well equiped bathroom. The restaurant/reception/office is a bit impersonal and looks like a canteen. And shoes off before you go in. The food is fresh but vegetarian....

We were so used to getting good reviews that one with lesser dots brings us out of our comfort zone. We are putting down our response to enable readers to take a good judgement. 1. The heading mentions as "very remote" sometime gives a notion that it is too difficult to trace and find out. To begin with, we are...

We were incredibly surprised at the quietness, beauty and immediate relaxation that this retreat provides. The tree house accomodation was incredible. The food superb. The service fantastic. The location fantastic - just outside Munnar but not too far. Being able to access hikes in the area quickly was lovely. We all wish to return as soon as possible. We thoroughly...

I visited this place for honeymoon. This place is full of nature, very good staff and service. Trekking and visit to spice plantation is very good. Best thing is stay in tree house, quite clean and nice view from tree house. For Honeymoon, this is best place in munnar and honeymoon package is recommended.

We went there on June 2016. The view, climate, serenity, everything is just perfect. The best thing is that, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would say, the best staff i ever saw in an hotel :) Anyway, this place is really heaven. The river hiking, spice garden, Yoga sessions, local sight seeings, everything is just SUPERB :)...

Extremely polite and hospitable staff; the nicest room of our 2 week stay in India (out of 6 hotels) including by far the comfiest bed; delicious vegetarian food (some of the best of our trip); perfect location for exploring Munnar. It gets better: the stunning mountainside setting and beautiful window views; the charming and friendly guide on our spice tour...

I cannot say enough about this hotel. We stayed in December 2014 and I still think about this hotel. The owner was so friendly and the grounds were beautiful. Food was great. I enjoyed each minute and only wish it was longer.

This beautiful place sits amidst green cover of plantation. We were two adults and a child .There was good space in the room for an extra bed to extent that the bed doesn't seem to be "extra".There is a dining area with cane chairs and a coffee table. The balcony outside the room has a natural grass "carpet" and when you step...

Stayed here as part of a bike tour I was on. The retreat was built a few years ago and is thus in impeccable shape. The rooms are gorgeous. You have a real shower with hot water. The yoga area is very pretty and unique and the complementary yoga class was excellent. Food was delicious. It is set in an...
