Very overly priced for whats on offer. Hot water had to requested for, is ee some tourists mentioning there was hot water 24/7, not for us, maybe if you are white skin colour. They arranged horseriding, most dangerous event, workers not trained with horses, we almost got killed by one, lousy food, insects inside the room alsways, shivering at night,...

This is a great place if you want to enjoy the cool climate of the hills, but also want to get away from the crowds in Kodaikanal. Accommodation is basic but clean and very comfortable. Constant hot water! Great for trekking, but you're not allowed to go without a guide. Seriously, beware wild elephants. Excellent food in the restaurant. Unreliable...

Stayed in a deluxe room with a private courtyard. Rooms were tidy and cozy. Though the road towards the resort is pretty bad the resort is worth it. Excellent location with a beautiful river running inside the property. Stay - excellent Food - below average Location - excellent

The place is not great at all. The approach was terrible - the worst road you can imagine driving on for 6 kilometers. After all that, the least you'd expect is a nice place and some good food. We got there, it looked pretty okay, ordered our food and went for a walk. There was a stream which was quite...

It was a nightmare trip for us. Website looks good, but the place is far from what is showcased. Rooms are dirty, not maintained well. Insects enter the room during night. There is no room service and food is terrible. Scorpions are seen in the dining area and the kids got really scared and refused to come out. We wanted...

Spend 2 nights, most of 3 days, in Peninsula 'adventure' room. The room with its antique doors and furnishings, but spacious bathroom and verandah, had twin beds and a loft. Set in coffee plantation, it was peaceful, with birds and monkeys and a pony as the main visitors and great for relaxing. Every cottage is different. The trail to the...

A very good experience when it comes to trekking and food - whether buffet or à la carte, you cannot really make a wrong choice. Staff are polite and always available to assist, and the houses are well located (even if their interior feels a bit outdated). Adding a daily cleaning service would increase travelers' comfort even further.

This is truly a nature hotel. There are many small cottages situated throughout the farm. We had the Honeymoon Cottage which was down by the river, which we understand is where the elephants cross. We were there in February and it was freezing at night, so please wrap up if visiting then. The food was great and buffet style, and...

Elephant valley is the last settlement on the border of the National Forest which extends into wildlife sanctuaries of Kerala. It is uniquely situated on an elephant migration route that is centuries old. This land and the rivers we share with local people blessed with prestigious vegetal and animal species including: native birds, leopards, deer, bison and elephants. Its remoteness allowed it to escape the ravages of 'modern' chemical agriculture. ... more   less
