There is nothing to describe the child-like wonder and excitement you will feel being up close with these magnificent animals. Every day was a unique experience. From the babies in the nursery, to the girls we personally cared for, to the bulls with their mahouts....it was just awe-inspiring. One morning it was raining. I got up early and just sat...

Just spend 7 days/ 6 nights here with my 2 teenagers (15 & 13). We chose to look after one elephant each. It was an amazing learning opportunity for us about elephants and how the dedicated mahouts take care of them. Ellice, Ben, Michelle and Ewa took great care of us. They literally went above and beyond our expectations to...

I was looking for a hands-on experience that got me as close to Elephants as possible, washing, learning and interacting with them. Elestay gave me exactly that and more. You do have to do some light work around your day, like you would if you were living with and caring for these majestic creastures but all the work is for...

I always wanted to work directly with elephants, meet and get to know these gentle giants. Elephantstay was an incredible experience, I loved riding and caring for the elephants, playing with the babies, getting to know the elephants and understand more about them. The Elephantstay programme (minimum visit 3 days) does not only give visitors the chance to spend quality...

I had the pleasure to visit this amazing place and loved every minute of it. After a year of research of places to go and experience elephants I know I made the right choice. Be prepared to really care for your elephant and build that relationship. It is a working village so it was great during free time to see...

I would 100% recommend staying at Elephantstay for a week or more. If you can only afford 3 nights, you won't regret it and will likely want to come back for more later. Elephantstay are there to look out for the elephants. They have a successful breeding program (58 babies born so far, with the birth of the 59th baby...

This is the most WONDERFUL experience I have ever had. www.elephantstay.com is dedicated to helping keep the culture of elephants in Thai culture alive. I learnt so much about elephants here and was really grateful to the staff and management who made my role with the elephants a unique experience. Thank you to Ewa and Michelle who made my time...

My husband, 8 year old daughter and I stayed here for 6 nights and could not get enough. It was the most touching experience to create a bond between us and our elie, Rasamee and to know that you were assisting in their overall care. We got done and dirty and loved every minute. The management, staff, volunteers and mahouts...

Holidays, in my opinion, are an opportunity to do something different to the norm - Elephantstay definitely delivered this beyond all of my expectations! We booked by e-mail, and had no problems with any part of the reservation process. (We were so excited about this part of our trip that we wrote reminders everywhere we could to make sure we...

“All the rooms are basic, clean with aircon. The best thing is from every room you can look out of your window and see the village and the elephants going about their daily activities.”

“Only tip...you may find it helpful to bring gloves for work detail and you may want to pack some goodies for the staff, mahouts or the families. They are all VERY appreciative of hard to find treats.”
