We stayed three nights at The Houben and I would have loved to stay longer. The rooms were spacious and well equipped and all had fantastic views of the sea and the wonderful sunsets. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The elephant sanctuary visit was a special experience and Lanta old town was worth visiting too. Highly recommended

Peaceful place with impressive location facing the sea up on a “cliff”. Fairly far away from everything (other than Kantiang Bay). Very attentive staff but the hotel itself is somehow lacking character. Room was nice but bathrooms, balcony and outside of the buildings in need of renovations.

Very warm and peaceful place. Great view of the ocean. Spacious and comfortable room. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Traditional and delicious food and drinks. Many activities and services offered at affordable prices. I really recommend to stay a few days in this hotel if you come in Ko Lanta.

Spent a whole week in the Houben on Koh Lanta. Apart from the gorgeous sunset views, the staff really go the extra mile to take care of your requests and needs. My wife and I have never been so well fed for their breakfast spread. On top of that, the staff even personally went to check on our external transport arrangements when there were delays and changes. A big shout out to khun Yi and all the staff who made our stay lovely and memorable.

Spend 3 nights at The Houben with my Partner. Staff were very friendly and speak very good english. Owner Eric specially prepared breakfast for us as we need to depart at 520am to catch our flight. Room have full seaview and able to catch sunset. Very good bathtub with Jacuzzi, which is able to fit my partner and me. Owner also assign to arrange transportation to and fro airport. Ask the staff for tips on attractions around the islands and you can skip going to tour agency for help. Prepare in advance bathbomb ;)

Stayed in Koh Lanta for 10+ days, moved around different hotels, the Houben has the best room conditions with unbeatable sea view, which make the stay enjoyable 24/7 and every dollar paid for the room well spent. Renovation is mainly white, so it is easy to see how clean it is. Spacious room with a huge bed, good quality furniture, large in-suite hot bath/jacuzzi, floor-to-ceiling windows facing the prefect sunset sea view, plus very friendly staff, nice pool, good restaurant all exceeded our expectation. Most other hotels that have a sea view require you go out on the beach to see it. But it it is always hot during the day time and full of mosquitos during the night, so you end up only enjoy the view for a very short time and most of the day staying in poorly lighted small room, or you have to pay much more to get a sea view room. While every room in the Houben is a sea view room. Thanks to the fact that the Houben is on the hill top and it is modern hotel, it had stronger shower power. Another lesson learned--hotels located closer to the busier district also have at least twice as many bugs than the Houben which is located in the quieter part of the island.…

Amazing sea view and luxurious bedrooms in a small but charming resort. Never seen as many smiles from Koh Lanta as in that hotel. The manager was particularly sensitive to make his customers happy. We had the top floor room with higher ceiling! Totally worth it! Private balcony overlooking sea creating lifetime memories.

Lovely boutique hotel with great staff, good food, gorgeous sea view and the best sunsets on the island. The architecture is well done and rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Several good restaurants within close walking distance. Highly recommend.

Myself and my husband came down to Koh Lanta for a bit of business and to meet up with friends as we live in Ao Nang, Krabi. We enjoyed the peace and quite of the Houben hotel, we especially enjoyed the baths, a rarity living in Thailand. As during this Covid spell a few rooms were taken, we had the pool mainly to ourselves and the big jacuzzi overlooking the sea to Koh Haa Island, breakfast was good quality and the staff were lovely, the rooms are super big, all with fantastic views. Cheeky monkeys come down from the hills to take a look at you and are cute to watch from a distanced, we met the manager Eric and he could not do enough for you, we will be back. Thank you

Stayed here for 2 nights and had a fantastic time. The rooms are comfi and very well appointed with all amenities needed in place. Very clean, great beds and pillows. Pool is amazing, views spectacular including sunsets. Friendly staff. We were very happy here and can only highly recommend it. Hope the resort gets busy again post covid and would certainly return in the future
