We loved our 3 nights at Costa Lanta! Perfect, quiet location at the end of a calm & beautiful beach w/ warm water & lovely sunsets. Amazing pool with beach views & pretty grounds. Our room was minimalist & modern, yet quite small. The Staff is warm & friendly, super helpful, even helping us with ferry/pick-up arrangements. Good food & drinks, plus nice daily breakfast. Wood fired pizza a fun option! Definitely recommend & would return!

First time coming to Ko Lanta and what an amazing experience it is at this resort. Totally worth while. The reception officer Benz is so friendly and helpful and went out of her way to help, both the owners are very friendly and accommodating. My experience and stay here is great because of them. I have been to many hotels in Thailand and I would say their hospitality is second to none. The swimming pool is great too and you get your own section of beach just steps away from your room. 7/11 and lotus are nearby. Best place to stay in Saladan !

We stayed nearby to Costa Lanta and visited it for many of our dinners. The setting is lovely right on the beach at sunset and the staff are very well trained. Favourite dishes were gyozas, larb tohd (spicy pork meatballs), fried fish and pizza (from their pizza oven). They even offered to make off menu items for us if we wanted.

We first stayed at Costa Lanta in off season two years ago, where we had an amazing (and very quiet!) stay. After falling much in love with Ko Lanta, we returned this March and also returned back to Costa Lanta, so charmed were we by our last experience. Our second stay at Costa Lanta was just as memorable, with not much having changed since our last trip — but we were joyfully surprised to find they’d installed a new wood-fire pizza bar facing the beach! Costa Lanta is at the far right end of Kho Kwang beach which is lined with everything you need, from bars and restaurants, to minimarts and pharmacies and a dozen massage places. We love Ko Lanta for it’s quiet, serene nature and were pleased to find that end we were on was much quieter than the rest of the beach. We also had our best massage (and we tried a few!) as well as one of our favourite meals in the bar and massage place just footsteps away. There are lots of highlights to comment on Costa Lanta. I will name but a few. The pool is deep (about 5’5), long (maybe 25m) and lined with modern dark tiles (a great change from most pools which have a tacky bright blue surface) surrounded by aged pine trees, providing much needed shade from the sun. This pool is fit for Batman to have his morning swim. The food may genuinely be some of the best food we’ve had in Thailand, and it absolutely rivals a lot of great restaurants we’re used to eating at in London, plus the cocktails are top-notch (if you like chilli, try the Tom Yum Margarita, which is sublime). The overall feel of the place feels private, serene and modern. Very shabby chic feel, with a lot of brushed concrete mixed with walls of green pot plants and pine trees all around. From the moment you enter, you feel like you’re walking into the front cover of an Architectural Digest magazine. The cherry on top, however, is the staff, from the chefs and barmen who prepare everything with love and care, to the waiters who serve it with a smile, and the managers who are there to greet you hello, help you at every moment, and wave you goodbye (but hopefully not for too long).

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in good hands! The lovely people at Costa Lanta instinctively know how to make your stay as stress-free as possible. We stayed in a rustic bamboo bungalow complete with indoor/outdoor shower. Every day our rooms were made up not once, but twice, first time to clean and made up the bed, replace the beach towels and the bottled water etc... 2nd in the late afternoon to turn our bed down and fix the mosquito netting firmly around the bed plus spray against mosquitoes and light mosquito coils in the bathroom and out on the balcony. After a lovely day on the beach it was wonderful to return to the bungalow, clean our feet with the urn of clean water at the bottom of the steps , take a look at the beautifully kept gardens and raised beds of vegetables and have a rest sitting out on the balcony. The grounds are very well maintained with a little river undulating through it, the beach is perfect with soft white sand, plenty of beds and parasols, towering pines for shade and a gorgeous refreshing pool near the beach (and the bar!) once you’ve had a good dip in the sea! We ate and drank at the beachside restaurant and although very good, it was a little pricey for us. No problem tho as there are a multitude of choices along the beach! Loved the sunsets every evening dipping into the horizon as we sipped on our cocktails! We would recommend Costa Lanta to any couple looking for a quiet, well run, adult only resort. The only proviso would be that if you choose the rustic bungalows, you do not have mobility issues. We are talking ‘country dark’ with a platform bed and various steps - some of them rather a hike (especially for a shorty like me!) Also, it may have been just our bed, but our mattress was fairly uncomfortable for us - others may be fine with it though! The friendliness of this place along with its stellar customer service makes this a highly recommended place to enjoy your Koh Lanta vacation.

Don't go there! The semi-open structure of the rooms plus the still waters from the creek make it a perfect breeding place for mosquitos. When we got to our bungalow, we found 20+ mosquitos and other curious bugs. We asked to see better rooms but, unfortunately, they all suffered from the same problem: they were all open and full of mosquitos. These mosquitos are a health hazard, as they can transmit diseases like dengue! With the open structures, all sorts of insects and animals can come in. Really a pity, because the location is amazing!

The resort is easy to access to beach and the beach is suitable for families with kids. Located in quiet location but near the city which is more convenient. Staffs are helpful, nice and the room is clean and confortable.

This is our third visit on Costa Lanta over the years. What seemed to be a perfect concept 10 years ago is a little out of time today. The concept needs a refurbishment. It means the food need an Moore healthy touch, especially breakfast. As it is today it's boring, not enough and slowly. The bar and restaurant service needs to be educated and some in the staff needs a kind of charm course. Our cabana was still in good shape, but the restaurant building needs som update. All wooden gangways are in so bad condition that they can be dangerous. So to summarize, this is a place with all potential to be among the coolest places on Lanta. And I give 3 stars becuse it use to be maybe 2 is more honest. If the owner update the concept and fix up the place it for shore will be 5.

Staff are very friendly. But the experience in the hotel was very bad! Worst hotel I ever been to. The place is tiny! Make things worse, there are a lot of mosquito! There’s really nothing to do after the dark, not even a tv and there’s no way to contact the receptionist because there’s no phone in the room! Ants everywhere as well, not just mosquito!

I just read the previous review and I could have repeated it word for word. I didn't find it eerie though just sterile. It's like no thought has gone into making it very welcoming. We were only ones (one other couple I think) in the concrete rooms during our stay. You can walk out along beach to some small bars. Lovely looking but if you come in low season you might be better off a bit further down the island as I found on my next stop.
