Came here for our honeymoon and words can’t even describe how perfect everything was from the beginning to the end. Location: The definition of paradise. The hotel is surrounded by nature and a superb beach. Food: The breakfast had lots of options and something for everyone. We also had dinner and afternoon snacks there as well and they were all tasty! A bit more pricey than outside the resort, but that is expected, however the quality of the food made it worth it Accommodations: The pick up and drop off from the airport are complementary and they are awesome. Nice van with plenty of room and wifi🙌🏼. The jetty as well is well kept. The grounds are all well kept and clean. The gardens are lush and beautiful. The pools, again, amazing. All the beach sports too were great. You can use any of them with out having to rent or pay anything extra. And our room was incredible!! We were beyond happy with it Costumer service: This is what I enjoyed the most. The staff, ALL OF THEMMMM from the folks that greet you, to the restaurant staff, they all are helpful and nice. They had a beautiful set up for us as honeymooners in our room. I just can’t say enough good things about Pimalai. We loved it! And will definitely be a place we will come back again.…

We have been coming to the Pimalai for 20 years and it never fails to deliver. We were lucky enough to spend 15 days at the resort this time, and it just seems to get better and better. Its hard to put your finger in what makes The Pimalai so unique. It has a genuine rustic Thai charm, combined with the efficiency of a well run Western hotel. The balance is perfect and never disappoints. It could be the stunning beach, the tranquil setting, the crystal clear waters, the fantastic food or the delicious cocktails at happy hour that make it so amazing, but I think it’s actually the incredible staff that really make you feel like you are one of the family, that really sets this place apart. The staff can not do enough for you. Even the gardeners (who work tirelessly to keep the grounds looking beautiful) stop to say hello when you walk past. There has been a change of guard since last year. The lovely French Manager Franck has handed over to the equally charming new French manager Brice. The transition has been seamless and the hotel is in safe hands. We managed to do a few things this time that we’ve never done before. I did a wonderful Thai cooking class with the head chef. What an experience. One I’d recommend to anyone. We also did a sunset snorkelling trip to Koh Ha. This was spectacular. The fish we saw were incredible, an the guys on the boat were so helpful. Then followed by a sunset cruise back to the hotel. Just WOW!! As always the food in the restaurants was delicious. I get the feeling that it’s only going to get better with the new food and beverage manager putting his mark on the menus. As always, we didn’t want to leave, and we can’t wait to get back.…

"Perfect 10" from the picking up point to the long way goodbye from the staff on the pontoon. Thai silk smooth services with bountiful sunshine faces made our holiday a truly enjoyable and unforgettable. We truly enjoyed all exquisite and delicious dishes from all different outlets. So many thoughtful little feature touches around the resort with the lushes setting making us feel so relaxed and wished we could stay for few more days. The entire resort was immaculately cleaned and tidy without any fuss. Well deserved a luxury star reward from us. Well done to Pimalai team.

Ideal for a relaxing vacation. We stayed at Pimalai for 4 nights and wish we could’ve stayed longer! The resort is beautiful in all its details and perfectly remote if you’re looking for a change of scenery. The staff were amazing and we felt taken care of from our pick-up to our drop-off. Pools, beach, spa, all facilities are great and the restaurants as well. Highly recommended!

Thanks so much to everybody at Pimalai for our amazing stay! Everything was faultless from start to finish. Hotel complex/grounds - Immaculate, amazed us how well maintained everything was. It was so relaxing, all you can hear is the wildlife, you truly feel part of the jungle on the complex. Even ran into a few monitor lizards! Don't worry they're friendly enough! ;) Location - It was perfect! The beach was clean & very quiet, not over crowded in the slightest. The guys in the beach hut are great & really looked after us supplying us with whatever we needed whilst relaxing in the sun. There are a couple of restaurants & bars either side of the resort on the beach front which are also really good. Just behind the hotel there's a small supermarket that has all your basic needs plus scooter rentals if you're wanting to get out and about around the island which I'd definitely recommend! Food/drink - A really good variety of food throughout all the restaurants at Pimalai. My fiance is a little picky when it comes to sea food e.t.c which you find everywhere on the island but there were so many alternatives! Even the pizzas are restaurant quality! Really recommend the Thai night + the surf & turf which are available once a week. Buffet style but everything was so fresh & so much choice! We also made the most of the happy hour! Cocktails were spot on plus to much variety so make the most of it! Staff - Everyone was so genuine & welcoming! From start to finish they really went above and beyond to make our stay as special as it was. The service we received was truly second to none! We will definitely return and look forward to being welcomed by the Pimalai team again! …

Fifth visit and still a firm favorite. All the best to Gun who leaves after twenty years. New manager Brice seems to have seamlessly taken over and even waved us off on the boat on our way home. Great stay even in the cheap seats! You don't need a pool as the beach is excellent and the pool cool if it gets too hot.

We spend 7 nights at Pimalai in February 23 and this is one of the best resorts we have visited in terms of value. The beach is very nice and not crowded, the food is very good and the service is good. Chef Deng makes very good Thai food at the Spice and Rice and we had an excellent cooking class with him as well. I can really recommend the cooking class. Pimalai has a beautyful garden with all the Thai herbs and you cook with amazing views at the Seven Sees Restaurant. In general the garden is amazing and the garteners are doing a very good job to keep it this way. I also like the fact that you always get a sunbed if you want. This was not the case at the 2 previous 5 star hotels we visited this month. Khun Anee and Knun Mai also make a big difference at the beach restaurant Raktalay. People make Places and many waiters could take a page from their playbook. The only thing we wish was that we could get more of the thaifood from Rice and Spice down by the Raktalay. Finally we also appreciate that management is present. I would recommend to download the Pimalai app. Here is all you need and front office responds fast. My husband and I came to Thailand for our honeymoon and went to multiple resorts in different areas. Pimalai was by far our favorite!!! We’ve already pre-booked our stay for our 1st anniversary. The staff are well-trained, friendly and accommodating. We can’t say enough about basically everything and hope nothing changes when we go back!!!

My husband I decided to treat ourselves to 3 nights at this resort for our anniversary. After going on all day excursions in Chiang Mai and ao nang we wanted a little quiet time. When we first came off the ferry I was a little worried that I wasn't going to like ko lanta. No big lime stone cliffs, and much quieter. When we pulled up to the resort I knew then that we had chosen correctly. This hotel is nestled in the mountains and the views and sunsets are breathtaking. There were a few hiccups along the way at this resort but they are very quick to try and rectify things. The staff are highly trained and work extremely hard. I will say that the food is expensive and truthfully not as good as I would have thought. The Thai restaurant was good but I had better food in other areas for a lot cheaper. The breakfast was amazing. I dont like the fact that they charge you for water at dinner. They give you water by the pool all day so that just seems a little chincy for a 5 star hotel. We met people here that ate in town but those restaurants didn't look as clean as other places so we ate all meals here. The rooms are big and gorgeous but try and request a top floor if you can. Something was waking us up every morning at 630. The last night they did offer to change rooms for us but for 1 night it didn't pay to repack and lose out on time. The shower was the best shower we have had in Thailand. We really did have an incredible time despite the hiccups. I would highly recommend staying here.…
