The Rawi Warin Resort & Spa garners accolades for its cleanliness and well-kept surroundings, along with rooms that not only shine in tidiness but also boast breathtaking views. While some guests consider the dining and spa prices steep, others feel that the resort's luxurious amenities, including the pristine pools and diverse activities, justify the cost. The staff's warm and attentive service consistently contributes to the resort's charm. The property's prime location offers easy access to local sights and private beach areas, although a few visitors mention challenging room accessibility due to the terrain.

This was already our fifth time in this wonderful hotel! Even though there are so many places to go and see in the world, we still always keep coming back here. This is mostly because of the wonderful, friendly staff and the beautiful hotel. The staff really go the extra mile for you to make your stay a memorable one. Every moment starting from the pick-up team at the airport until the moment you leave home, you are greeted by a very professional and friendly team. We spend many memorable moments with the restaurant staff members Koong, Muay, Roon, Farit, Rai, Nyeng, Ohm and many many others. At the pol area we were so well taken care of by Mee, Fad, Loh, Dom and colleagues. We shared so many good laughs by the pool! Special thanks go to the team taking such good care of the rooms every day, as well as the "green troups" taking care of the amazing lush gardens of the resort. How could we not come back to our second home! See you in 2021! Pop khun mai pii naa!

Everything was perfect, couldn't have been happier! We were traveling with a 2 y.o., and the hotel is excellent for both families and couples. Facilities are great, service fantastic. We were there for 11 nights, so made use of just about everything. Highly recommend yoga and thaiboxing lessons. Good gym facilities. Restaurants are generally excellent with good understanding of allergies. Not the most central location but always taxis available just outside, and tour companies will pick you up at the beach or lobby. Huge thanks to everyone for making us feel so welcome.

Thai Boxing coach was really a joy for whole family, even invited to take fishing!.. Positive attitude and helped with all sports activities. Mee was entertaining at the pool bar/food. The special grilled seabass a must. Rooms very clean. High tide the beach great, low tide hard to swim that easily, but still doable. Pool very fresh, kids enjoyed the small but popular waterslide. Prices at pool bar reasonable. Breakfast was high quality, but would have liked a little more thai food variation.

Pros:
Beautiful beach and nice and clean pool.
The facilities well maintained.
Good stuff at the restaurant and pool area.
Cons
1.the resort located in isolated area.nothing to do outside the resort.
2.In the resort no kids activities ,even the slider was not operative for 2weeks of our staying in the hotel.(we asked few times to fix it)
3. The breakfast is very poor,no coffee machine.the cofee (machine cofee) is an extra charge of 120 baht per cup.
The breakfast has no selection of food mainly Thai food ,1 backers type, salad and eggs. Compare to other 5 stars hotel it’s really really poor.
The restaurants are over priced and they updated the pricing durring our stay (meal of 4 cost around 1600 baht not including wine which was extremely over priced).
The western dishes are very small and durring our stay the dishes were smaller with every day and the taste was not consistent.
The Spa of the hotel over priced (compare to other destinations it cost *3 )
The room is quite small,no connecting rooms and no sitting area for 2 in deluxe room.
We stayed 2 adults and 3 children, the children slept in different room.
Summarize: nice to stay here for 3 days and not more.
Not recommend for family visit..

This was our second time to Rawi Warin, our first being before Covid (2019). We hardly ever visit a place twice, but the first time here with our first born was such a lovely experience, that we decided to come here again. We spotted an offer on their social media, and we booked a pond room for 9 nights. The terms & conditions with the offer stated we had to pay the full fee right away and it couldn’t be cancelled, only postponed two weeks before the booked arrival date.

Covid changed our plans more than once, and communicating with the sales team was not very straightforward. Firstly, responding to emails was slow (compared to other resorts). Then, when asking to postpone our reservation by a week (due to flights being cancelled and having to go through Phuket sandbox instead of Krabi), they answered that they’ll do so, but we’ll have to pay for the normal room rate! After a long wait (again) they finally responded with a “oh sorry, okay then”.

When we arrived we had asked for a possible seaview room (if available) and we were taken to one. The view was really beautiful, but the downside of it was two flights of stairs to get to the room. If we wouldn’t have had children with us, this wouldn’t have been an issue, but we were traveling with our toddler and baby, which meant a lot of stuff including a stroller. After spending one night in the room climbing up and down the stairs with both kiddos, we asked if it would be possible to switch to a room with easier access, but still a view of the sea. The first response was “we told you it had stairs” before showing a couple of options with absolutely no view (the view was to a walkway). I asked if it were possible to upgrade to a villa and the answer was bluntly “then you pay extra”. Later we found out that a family had been upgraded to a pool villa just by asking, without any additional costs.

So the receptionist/ sales team (the chief called One) definitely didn’t make us feel like we were warmly welcome, more like we were bothering them. Apart from them we would like to thank other staff members (Chi, Mee, Rut) for being super wonderful all week, you were awesome!

All in all an okay stay (Covid had reduced a lot of the services available) but would recommend the sales team to be a bit more friendlier to customers…

If like us you are debating between the Rawi Warin and the Pimalai there is no contest. Pimalai every time.

We choose the Rawi Warin based on the Sunset Pool Villa which offered great value for money during low season. The villa and specifically the location were absolutely as fantastic as the pictures suggest. The setting of the hotel around the pond was particularly nice.

So what wasn’t so good. On the first few days of our stay there were 5 rooms booked on the whole resort. Most days we had breakfast by ourselves, dinner by ourselves and would not see another guest the whole day. There was no vibe to the hotel.

Food. This was the biggest criticism. For first three nights we booked through offer which gave 1000 baht credit each day so felt obliged to eat at hotel. They struggled to provide even basic options. On second day they ran out of beef. The first three days we were told they had no fresh coconuts despite fact there were shops outside the hotel with them piled up but for some reason they get theirs delivered from the main land and they were waiting for a delivery. On the third day I joked with the waiter that after watching a monkey from our villa in the morning climb a tree and collect a coconut it was the only thing in the resort getting a coconut! Later that evening they went out into the street to buy some which was appreciated but truly not what you expect from a 5 star resort. The other issue was food quality, the food was priced at the same rate as that at Pimalai but whereas the Pimalai food was extra special the food here was no better than you’d get from an average restaurant outside paying more than double the price for the privilege. The last two nights of our stay when the 1000 baht offer didn’t apply we went to old town Koh Lanta for dinner and was so much nicer. Thankfully we had hire car to make that easy.

Maybe when hotel is higher occupancy they pick up the service level but I could not recommend this hotel during low season ….Unless you book a sunset pool villa and have a hire car to allow you to travel to nice restaurants.

The local area was also run down. Beaches full of rubbish and on our first day was welcomed by a local using the beach as a toilet which didn’t give a great first impression but was typical of the area.

Rawi Warin was the absolute perfect first holiday for myself, my husband and my 1 year old son. The pool, the kids club, the beach, the food is all amazing. It’s sunset side of koh lanta, so our favourite time was digging on the beach with our son whilst the sun was slowing setting. The staff are amazing. One evening our son was a bit grumpy, so the staff took him off to explore the restaurant so we could quickly eat our dinner in peace! Big thank you to Rut, Beam, Bus, and all the girls at breakfast. There’s more casual beach bars and massage pop ups a literal stones throw from the resort. Can’t recommend this highly enough.

This is a wonderful hotel.
We don’t have children but when we do, we will be sure to come back.
This hotel Is great for family’s. lots of children around.
Delicious, massive breakfast!
Perfect location, middle of the island. Be sure to hire mopeds for the best island experience.
Only possible negative- the resort is built into a steep hill. Maybe they put us at the top because we are young! We are both fit and we were sweating buckets by the time we reached our room- hundreds of steps! They do offer a free golf cart service from reception but you definitely can’t pop back to your room.
Beach is absolutely stunning and staff are amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure you have the best stay possible.

This hotel will have a special place in my heart. Stayed in Baan Rawi Suite and my God it is a heaven on earth. It is the most magnificent room i have ever seen in my life.
The suite has 4 rooms - 2 bedrooms and 2 living rooms, it also has 2 swimming pools and 1 dining table to sit and enjoy your meal outside. The room overlooks the ocean and it is amazing. Infinity pools and pool chairs to relax when you get tired.
The only issue is you cannot leave doors open or food outside the rooms because it will get raided by monkeys.
Overall the hotel is very good. There is a seaside/poolside restaurant which has a good spread for food. Limited options in breakfast but will provide extra dishes free of cost if you are a vegetarian.

Overall beautiful resort. My room was high up overlooking the sea with wonderful sunset. Hotel attracts a lot of families with kids so keep that in mind. For me the overall feeling was a bit too much focused on western tourists..and felt a bit too western for my appetite.
The room is beautiful but could use an update..also with minor maintenance issues. Another point where the hotel doesn’t live up to five stars is the diner. This was the worst diner I had on my vacation. Green curry way too spicy, despite asking for non spicy. The alternative meal was a seafood pasta...which arrived within 5 minutes...well how much can go wrong there..everything! Totally overcooked fished.. with too much not so tasty sauce (not fresh). Diner for one set me back 900thb.

it sits beachfront, beach is small , they have first come first serve umbrellas with bean bag chairs. We preferred these over the pool area. Yes you can walk to restaurants and bars, it is very much island life so dark at night. I would recommend you get a scooter though. Course there are taxis avail usually right outside of hotel.
