Disappointed on this 5stars hotel We wish for relaxing comfortable family vacation but everything is opposite from what we have planned Fault advertisements No amenities like advertised No babysitting, supervised childcare, game room, playground, spa, bar, beach bar, poolside bar, only 1 restaurant at limited hours, limited hours room service, limited hours housekeeping, 24/7 front desk, gift shop, library, concierge service, dry cleaning , laundry facilities, bbq grills, beach loungers, beach chairs umbrellas Horrible horrible experience We have tried to talk to the manager on duty at the property but she is super RUDE She doesn’t have any hospitality skill at all Water in our room is dirty brown Internet, electricity is on and off The worst part is it always have a big Asian water monitor (large varanid lizard) swim in the pool, So scary and unsafe for us and the kids Overall is horrible bad experience ever Stay away from this hotel Lanta chada hotel Suez Boston, USA…
There is no doubt this used to be an high end hotell I am sure it used to have 5 stars. In 2021 the maintanance is not up to date and the paint is falling off. The air condition is dripping down in to the room at several spots. When I stayed here for long periods I was the only guest. This ment that everything was closed so I do not have any opinion about the food or service level. The pool was massive and nice. It seems to have a large pool bar also but it was closed.
This hotel is a really hidden gems of the Koh Lanta. Huge area and beautiful tropical gardens. This hotel is resort style and have around 20 buildings and 2 or 3 swimming pools. Hotel located on the Klong Dao Beach and have right access to the beach with nice bars and restaurants. Rooms are big and clean. Breakfast good also with wide choice of western food. Recommend this hotel to everyone!
Enormous hotel. Seemed to cater to Scandinavian families, so there were loads of kids . Difficult to find a place by the pool or on the beach ... fine if you were happy to sit on a towel in the sand. Breakfast was ok , outside by waterways, just your run of the mill buffet American breakfast. The hotel takes a refundable deposit off you on arrival , returnable when you leave. The room was massive with a sitting room and bathroom and the bed was comfy. We found it a bit impersonal ... apart from the team organising transport who were a good laugh & helpful .
This was our fourth time at this wonderful resort! Check in was so easy and fast. The Young woman that helped us was so friendly and spoke very good English. The rooms are big, clean and all of them are located close to beach and close to the pool. We really recomend the gold suite/pool access. Several pools to chose from, one close to the beach and one a bit more quiet that is located at the silver suite and gold suite rooms. (2-3 min walk to the beach) The breakfast is very good and a lot to chose from. We traveled with 2 kids 7 and 10 years old and they Always found something to eat at the breakfast. The resort is close to Saladan that is a small town with a food market and some shopping to offer. The beach is great where this resort is located at aspecially for travellers with kids, Water is shallow and you have a lot of restaurants to chose from. I would like to give a special thanks to Manager Felix Kaiblinger that made our trip to the next level! So helpful and serviceminded, he is a Star fpr Chada Group!…
Quite surprised to read all the negative reviews. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, we had a swim up room opposite the restaurant, it was tucked away in a no children section so nice and quiet. It was the perfect place for our relaxing week away. The buffet breakfast was great compared to some others, and really enjoyed the variety of drinks from the pool bar each afternoon. We had dinner twice, it was ok, generally we strolled out to the main Street where there is lots of choice. If we return to Lanta would probably come here again :)
A hotel with good standard of rooms and facilities and great location, close to both beach and main street. I would say excellent for families and even when you are not there as a family you do not get disturbed, the rooms are really well isolated. Two small downsides during the visit was that - one of the waters running through the hotel area was covered and had a smell of soar when coming close. - they add 10% service fee and 7% tax on top of that on everything you order in the bar or restaurant (so the 1000 bath dinner all of sudden cost you 1180 bath, small amounts but annoying when not really clearly announced) Go out and eat&drink instead.
Stayed at this hotel when it was new built 10 years ago. Then we had small kids. Our experience then made us book now again. This time we had teenagers. The hotel is overall clean and nice but dont book if you only want to relax as an adult. This is a hotel for families with small kids only and for them its perfect. The beach Klong dao is very affected from low tide so you have to walk a mile straight out to touch water. Lunch food at the restaurant was very good. Breakfast however, there was a lot to offer but not on top. No fresh juice and always very busy. This is a big hotel and if you are after a more personal, quite place this is not for you. But for families with small kids, its perfect. Clean rooms. The aircondition went out a couple of times and its funny cause we had problems ´with this even when the hotel was new. …
We had two emerald suites. Other one for me and my girlfriend and our boy, and the other one for my parents. After the first night both rooms had a really stuffy smell inside. It was like a sewer combined with a moldy cigarrette type of smell. My eyes were also wet and had a runny nose in the morning (AC was at 28C so it wasn’t that). Other suite had the same problems. So I went to the reception to explain our concerns and asked about our options. We were first told that we were just imagining the smell so I kindly asked that if we could still see other rooms or that if we could get our money back. They didn’t want to refund us so they showed us a different room. It had the same smell problem and as I pointed it out to the manager she then all of a sudden admitted that they have this troublesome situation with smells. There’s a little river/stream crossing the resort which had been boarded up. I first wondered why it was boarded but then realized that it was the main source of most of the smell problems. After this we were shown three other rooms which all — except one didn’t stink. It was a Silver suite in the second floor. Funny thing was that each time we entered a new room there was a patrol of cleaners coming out. We then decided to just give up and try to manage with the smells. Week went by and the only good things I really have to say about this resort is that the pool area is really nice and convenient for families and that the cleaners were really friendly and kind. Staff otherwise was totally out of place. For example waiters didn’t come to collect dishes from the pool area. We literally didn’t see anyone collecting anything for the first two days and in the end there were birds feasting with leftover french fries. I ended up collecting the dishes from multiple tables and took them in and asked the staff if there’s a reason why I’m the one doing this. The only way to keep the room livable was to keep the AC really cold. This ofcourse is never a good idea if you don’t wanna catch the cold but it was the only way. Well, our boy then got the cold and a high fever on the last day. I told this to the reception when we were leaving and what was their response? A smile and 20% discount from the room bill (~40€ or something). Five star resort? Try again.…
A very welcoming family friendly resort with pool access room option which is a must have with young kids. It was so easy with the pool access and the kids had a great time. The staff and management were friendly. Outside the hotel on the street side are a few more local restaurants which provided some variety if you want a change of scene. On the beach front and to the left there are tons of beach restaurants to enjoy the sunset.
