when we arrived on Koh Lanta we thought we had made a terrible mistake nothing but hotels, resorts, restaurants, bars, people etc filling up every free inch on the island. After a half hour drive this suddenly turned into a more green environment (the south of the island). Anda Lanta resort luckily still appeared located in a peaceful bay together...

We had booked a hotel in Phuket for 11 nights but after a week staying there it all got a bit too much. Phuket is extremely touristy with locals trying to make the most out of tourists. So we decided to hop over to Ko Lanta for a bit of quiet time and "real" Thailand. After travelling the west coast...

First of, I'll be upfront and say that this is not a 4 star resort. There is no safe in the room, no bathrobes, slippers provided, not enough electrical sockets, few tv channels, no room service (no phone in the room!). The b'fast buffet is nothing to scream about - there is always a line at the egg station and...

This is a clean and pleasantly appointed resort on one of the southern beaches. The beach is very nice, a little rocky in parts, and not too crowded. Facilities are ok and the service is usually but not always friendly. Food is better than average for Koh Lanta - hardly a Thai food paradise. The resort is not within walking...

We stayed over the Christmas break and really enjoyed our visit. We arrived on the island by speed-boat - the trip to Anda Lanta took another 45 minutes by taxi. The bay where Anda Lanta is located is secluded and a little remote - if you want to "shop" for souvenirs you will need to travel to a shopping area...

The beach at Anda Lanta is gorgeous and the free kayaks are a major perk. The view from our superior seaview room was fabulous and the room itself is fairly modern. The staff at the front desk are very nice and speak English very well. However, there isn't a phone in the room so when you need to call the...

We stayed in garden villa for 8 nights there. Exactly what we wanted, peaceful, far from crowd. Close to diving centre scuba fish, which is in the five star resort pimala next door. You can see why they build a five star resort there. Anda lanta is only 20 mins walk away. (Scuba fish does pick up anyway, stay close...

We, family with 2 small children, had the pleasure of staying at Anda Lanta Resort again for 10 nights. We stayed in the brand new 'Garden Villa' room. It was beautiful, spacious, modern and very comfortable. The beds slept really well. Besides the fact that this is one of the most beautiful resorts on the island (we've been to Koh...

Incredibly well positioned location on Klong Jark beach. Clean, upmarket accommodation, big rooms, aircon, bar fridge, good shower, great pool, friendly, honest staff. Large pool/ beach towels. Try the boiled rice with chicken for breakfast! Free use of kayaks is a huge bonus. Good selection of restaurants nearby. Try Sunset Restaurant at the end of the beach - delicious cashew...

“I recommend a deluxe hill front room. It was a climb to get to it, but the view is amazing and it is very private. The beach front rooms are nice, but people were constantly passing by, not much privacy.”
